ok so gta 4 installed to my computer and stuff but it wont launch ive done the compatibility and all that but wont open, does rockstar games social club have anything to do with that because for some reason it is not on my computer even tho it says theres a problem with it but its not on here anywhere.

If there are no mods installed on the game yet it should work just fine. My recommendation would be to uninstall and reinstall the game, however someone else may have some better solutions for you than that.

Do you have Games For Windows Live installed? It is required for GTA to work, but - if I remember correctly - isn't installed during GTA's installation.

I had the same problem once, when I reinstalled GTA and forgot that I hadn't installed GfWL... the game just wouldn't do anything after clicking on the shortcut.

Also, try disabling your anti-virus program(s), and do you have Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant enabled/started on Services? Those can/will cause GTA IV to not run/run properly.

When you first run the game, it is supposed to have an update that removes social club. Rub the game first and then install LCPDFR. Also try to run the installer and the game as Administrator.
