  1. Well, like I said, my PC should run GTA on high, but it doesn't - I'm afraid my PC is one of those GTA has troubles with. GTA is currently running partly high, partly medium. As for ELS, that wouldn't be a problem since I only use non-ELS cars.
  2. This is... nice... but also... somehow... EPIC!!! Me like
  3. Thanks again Does the game need more hardware if I run it? Do I get lower FPS? Or do the hardware requirements stay the same? Because even though my PC should run GTA IV on high, it always causes a bit of trouble, so I don't install any mods that need a lot of processing power.
  4. Thanks for the info! Might try it out...
  5. Is your GFWL completely up to date? The same thing happened to me with the original GTA IV when I tried to start it without having GFWL installed. Now, since your GTA IV works, this may not be the problem, but maybe EFLC requires a more up to date version of GFWL...
  6. This sounds interesting... How do you run it? Do you just place it in the scripts folder, or do you need some additional stuff like other scripts? (I'm not talking about the stuff that is required to run LCPDFR like .NET framework, I already have that)
  7. Most font color faults have been fixed, but you still can't see how many pages a topic has in a forum's overview. Here, for example Also, I hope that the default LCPDFR avatars you could choose from return. They had really nice motives but I can't seem to find them right now.
  8. That was one very funny video. Weird, but in a funny way
  9. Paint.NET will do just fine for a little skin work and is completely free. It has all the basic features of Photoshop and is definitely worth a try.
  10. # Sorry for doublepost, but the edit button is long gone # Alright, I found another nice trailer, this time for Batman: Arkham City: This one is in ingame graphics, but what I really like about this one is the choice of music. Since the plot is that Batman has to enter the slums of Gotham City that are now used as a giant prison, the song "This Ain't No Place For A Hero" fits just perfectly. Also, like Batman: Arkham Asylum, this game is going to have a great atmosphere, I think. EDIT: Okay, "This Ain't No Place For A Hero" is the chorus only it seems. Song info: "The Heavy - Short Change Hero"
  11. There are some great trailers out at the moment... I find the Deus Ex: Human Revolution rendered trailer quite nice: Also, some nice stuff out there for Star Wars: The Old Republic: Looking at trailers for existing games, the Mass Effect 2 cinematic trailer is pure epicness: These three are all quite epic. And all quite rendered. However, I think Mass Effect 2 does the best job regarding the ingame graphics. SW:TOR has comic graphics, and Deus Ex looks a bit old compared to Mass Effect 2 - even though it is said to have a great atmosphere.
  12. In that case i recommend checking Luxart's vehicle mods on GPM. They have some very nice non-ELS cars with LCPD liveries like the Crown Vic, the Impala etc. BXbugs also has a few nice non-ELS cruisers, mostly unmarked ones if I remember correctly.
  13. Rumors are that GTA V is going to play in LA, or to be exact, in Los Santos, which is supposed to be as big as Liberty City. However, it's just rumors, and there are other rumors saying it's going to play only in Hollywood/Vinewood (was it called Vinewood? can't remember), but I don't think that a game as big as GTA would play only in one part of a town. To me it sounds pretty likely - many players seem to like playing in a big, living city, so if R* now takes Los Santos and maybe a little (or bigger) bit of the surrounding areas with desert and highways, they get a big city but also some of the San Andreas atmosphere.
  14. If it says that a mail has been sent, I'd check the spam filter.
  15. So you don't get any e-mail or whatsoever when you press the "forgot password" button?
  16. That's bad, man Have you tried logging in on the EA homepage to see if your data still works elsewhere? If it's only in BC2, try entering your password manually since the "remember password" feature is a bit buggy and sometimes doesn't save your PW correctly. If you can't access your account anywhere, check your mail. EA has started switching the old EA accounts to Origin accounts (that new platform they have) and sends you an e-mail notifying you that you have to change your PW somehow - I don't know exactly, haven't received it yet.
  17. Referring to the thread title, I go strictly no ELS. Of course stability is a reason (even though I never installed it so it might even work fine for me), but the main reason mainly is that I don't like the door bug. Also, I've heard that AI has trouble using it, so I'm sticking with non-ELS modded cars.
  18. This one? If it fits four persons, that would be a great one - forgot to say I don't use ELS so its often quite hard for me to find nice models. But say, how do I manage that only the LCPD ESU skin gets spawned? With other mods I simply leave the "+liveries" away so that it only spawns the primary one, but here the primary one seems to be the LCFD skin.
  19. I am currently trying to replace the NOoSE units with LCPD ESU ones. I've already found a skin for the NOoSE cops on GPM, but I can't seem to find a nice replancement for the NOoSE truck. There is one on GPM that looks just like the smaller trucks NYPD uses, but I've read that it only fits two officers, so it won't be of any use to replace the Enforcer, I'm afraid. So if anyone has come across a noce LCPD ESU skin for the NOoSE truck or a replacement vehicle fitting four officers, that would be great!
  20. So I just install GTA in the language I want for GFWL and then change it in the options... thanks for the fast reply. You're ninja, man. # mods, thanks for deleting my doublepost. feel free to merge this one and the previous one together as I can't edit anymore # Okay, as I found out, GTA doesn't install GFWL at all but also doesn't provide any error message when I try to start it - took me some time to figure out what was going on Well, now it works and the language can be easily switched - a feature that is missing in most games, even though I find it quite useful. merged
  21. Hi guys, I've recently uninstalled all my games and stuff and am now reinstalling the good ones. Now, I would like to install GTA and GFWL (Games For Windows Live) in different languages and couldn't find it on the internet whether or not the GFWL installer gives me a separate option to choose a language or if it just uses the one I choose for GTA. And does GTA allow me to change the text language in the settings after I've installed it? If anyone knows this, the informations would be appreciated - thanks in advance!
  22. Hi everyone, with 0.91 being the current version, the 0.95 Beta also around and the final 0.95 due to arrive in the beginning of August, it seems there is some major version swapping coming up for me Since most applications run smoother when their predecessors have been uninstalled properly, and I couldn't find a tutorial how to do so exactly, I figured I could just ask. So, what files do I need to remove to completely uninstall any version of the mod? (I figured out all by myself that it might be useful to remove the LCPDFR folder in "scripts" ) The is some thread around here that two .dll files need to be removed when uninstalling 0.95 Beta - are these all additional files that I should remove, so that for 0.91 I just delete the folder, and for the Beta the folder and these two files? Now I am aware that there is no Beta support, but I figured that this question is something more general since I'm asking for an unistall guide to all versions. Thanks in advance!
  23. The screenshots look epic... but I'm gonna stay away from it for my graphic card's safety :whistling:
