  1. Well I guess it's "Jeep" as in "a certain type of vehicle", just like SUV or sedan, and not as in "a certain car manufacturer". But I agree with you, especially with the car in the background looking a loot like a Jeep model it's a bit confusing.
  2. I don't want to spoil the entire experience for me, so I won't ask about details, but how many cop cars are there gonna be in total?
  3. Well, the official trailer is out, and the POLICE livery is still in it. So whatever agency/department it represents, looks like it will be in the final product. I guess we'll have to wait and see...
  4. Sweet. Awesome trailer too. Not so much showing off the game's features like the last ones, but creating a movie-style atmosphere. Gonna be the perfect TV commercial.
  5. No idea. Maybe it's just a placeholder and we'll see a NOoSE livery in tomorrow's trailer. Or they might have thought it would fit better into Los Santos that way.
  6. Alright, I guess everyone on here is not only eagerly awaiting V, but also paying special attention on any depiction of its police forces in the trailers/screens/etc. Some months ago, R* showed some black&white patrol cars with a different livery than the LSPD one from the first trailer. The new one only had "POLICE" written on the side of the car. However, the LSPD livery has kept appearing on screens and videos, so there's been a bit of confusion on what's what. After getting a bit bored and rewatching the trailers and screens, I think that the POLICE cars are the new NOoSE livery. I've found this scren on the GTA V website: If you look closely at the police officers, you can actually see that they are wearing some kind of tactical vests, also with POLICE written on them. This leads me to believe that while IV just had normal cops in their NOoSE cars, this time there will be a special NOoSE model, in between the "normal" beat cop and the heacily armed SWAT cop. Remember the last moments of the GTA Online trailer: After robbing the armored truck, an LSPD Vapid arrived at the bottom of the screen, while a POLICE Taurus-lookalike attempted to cut the fleeing robbers off at the top - just like LCPD and NOoSE teaming up in IV. What's your opinion on the subject?
  7. I'm not sure about that. To me it looks like they are giving us an overview of the character creator and then telling us about the additional CE features: "As part of the Collector’s Edition package, you'll get Niko Bellic, along with both Claude and Misty from Grand Theft Auto III to use as parent options within the character creation system."
  8. R* has released some info on the bonus ingame content of the special/collector's edition of V on their newswire. I find this especially interesting: Seems that there is going to be a new approach to character creation in GTA Online.
  9. I'm sorry if I've spoiled anything for you, but everything that I referred to in my post came directly from Rockstar, or is R* being quoted by a gaming site like ign or gameinformer in one of their previews. Also, in my view that info about the characters isn't so much a spoiler, just some info about the game mechanics. But again, it wasn't my intention to spoil, so I'm sorry.
  10. I wouldn't be a fan of such a feature, the "why would people reject it" sums it up pretty well for me. Having to go for fuel in a game would be as annoying for me as having to go to sleep with your character every ingame day.
  11. If you haven't been all over the internet reading GTA previews you might find some of the stuff below new to you. I'll just get into one of the nice cars Michael seems to own in the trailers and explore Los Santos for a while.
  12. Well, it's definitely real as it's completely ingame graphics, and it's not an official release from R*. My guess is that it's either a future trailer or one of the ingame TV shows, Cops style. Probably the latter, then it might have been extracted from the PS3 preload, explaining how it got leaked right now.
  13. O__________________O That. Is. Awesome. Definitely real, and awesome. LSPD still has the LAPD-style livery, it seems. Maybe the "Police" livery belongs to NOoSE? That video with the female officer dialogue that was leaked yesterday had a line saying "Call NOoSE!" or something similar to that in it...
  14. Well, when I read the OP's spoiler alert, I thought "better not click on that link." Clicked it 4 seconds after that
  15. *drooling* By now, it's getting ridicolous how much content there's going to be in this game. Also, the vapid cruiser at the end (money truck heist) has still got the "realistic" LSPD markings, just like LAPD has got on their cars. So maybe the more modern cop car models with only "POLICE" on their doors belong to a different agency, like NOOSE in GTA IV?
  16. I just now stumbled across two gameinformer interviews with GTA:V designers where they talk about the possibilities to customize your car and also abou the combat gameplay. They are a day old already, but I thought I'd post the links here: Car customization and combat.
  17. O__________________________________________________________________O Stocks. You can spend your money not only on real estate, but on the stock market. That's level of detail. Also, love the car customization, and the clothes shopping(which seems to offer far more variety than IV). This will definitely be a huge game, not only in the dimensions of the map, but also in regards to the activities placed in it. Can't wait.
  18. I wouldn't buy any of the new consoles straight at release. Most games will still come out for the old generation for a while (Destiny for example) and with waiting a few months you'll be able to view all the pros and cons of both consoles in action. I agree that right now the PS seems to own the Xbox, but they are not even out for half a year, so a lot of things can still happen. Especially because I really, really can't imagine Microsoft just sitting around until release after they've received so much criticism. However, if you read some of the E3 interviews with the MS guys basically saying "customers will see that we've got a top product when it's in stores" it appears they're doing just that. Weird.
  19. Awesome! Also, you can see what the Sheriff's uniform will look like in the last screenshot!
  20. Well, it still has the new light setup, so even if the screen is older than I thought, it's still quite a hint that we'll get a Vapid cruiser in V.
  21. Well, it's on page 2 of 7 on the homepage, so I don't think it's that old. Also, if you look closely at the Vapid, you can see lights on the rambar, and the lightbar on the roof seems to be a LED bar, so its setup matches the one that the cars from the new trailers have got.
  22. So, on browsing through the GTA V homepage, I noticed this screenshot: It's a Vapid alright.
  23. What two sedans do you mean? If you are talking about the sedan in the pictures I quoted and the one in the screenshot from the trailer, I'm quite sure they are two different models. I just took it as an example for the different light setup. In reality, LAPD has the same lightbar on all their cars as far as I know, so I don't think it will be different in GTA V. But about the two sedans in my screenshots, I'm quite sure that they are both the vapid. The LSPD one has the vapid badge, and the LSSD one looks a lot like it too. For example, they have identical rearview mirrors.
