  1. Buy the game, LCPDFR doesn't support cracked/torrented versions of the game. nor will we provide support for people who have a torrented copy. If you feel this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.
  2. CouthInk4 replied to CatLord's topic in Legacy
You are running a legit copy of the game? either retail or steam and not from a torrent?
  3. If it's for fun then it's better spending the money elsewhere.. if you're not using it for parties/events then there is no point in buying it. there was a topic a few months ago when a user bought a NYPD detective badge and thought it was a good idea to wear it in public.. it didn't end well, if he didn't deal with a nice cop he would've been arrested instead the cop just took his badge away.
  4. Uh, well.. it's probably not a good idea to cosplay a detective (especially one based on a RL department) However if you straight up say it's for cosplay, try and find a fake badge (not a replica because well. that could lead to problems). As a replacement badge you could get a NYPD detective badge (specifically designed for cosplay) and instead of a shield number it has CSI instead. EDIT: http://www.my-badges.com/thumbnail.php?pic=uplimg/img_100038_41856e54d292d1a3decac59905f7e5c7.jpg&w=500&sq=Y&b=Y - link to the badge i mentioned above. Like others have said though, only do it at events, costume parties etc.. don't do it in public, even if it does look good. I own a replica CSI vest like the one they wear out in the field on CSI: Las Vegas but i never wear it apart from parties and what not (even though i live in Australia, it does look suspicious and as it looks real.. people may think you're a real officer even though the vest clearly says LVPD). Just make your costume look real.. but also fake enough people know it's fake, people wear uniforms all the time to comic-con for fake departments (like RPD from Resident Evil for example). Theres nothing wrong with wearing a uniform/badge to an event but when it's in public/part of general life that's when there is a problem. However, for safe measures i'd suggest going to your local police station and asking about it before doing anything. because they might consider owning a badge illegal (even if it's a fake)
  5. Apologies on the late reply (different timezones suck) right click on steam - go to properties - and check the "run as administrator" box, this will run both Steam and GTA as admin. if that doesn't work then right click on the GTA IV (in your steam library) and verify cache files, this will put GTA IV back to it's vanilla state, from there run the LCPDFR 1.1 automatic installer (doing this will remove any trace of mods, 0.95 and should allow you to play LCPDFR 1.1 with no problems)
  6. Then you'll need to find a solution to that problem first, the prologue needs to be done and saved before you can do anything lcpdfr related.
  7. Have you disabled your keybinds in the options menu of the trainer? certain keys are binded to certain things so it'll spawn different things if you have them enabled.
  8. When you say you didn't do any of the story.. you did do the prologue right? (Where Niko is fresh off the boat) if not, then you need to do that first THEN install LCPDFR. otherwise it'll just crash in the cutscene
  9. Are you running the Steam version of GTA IV?
  10. Please re-read my original post and answer each question.
  11. Well, for one those will show up all the time, because the log file, is a log file.. it'll record/log whatever RPH is doing when it's activated and the RagePluginHook.ini file is the configuration file, which you shouldn't delete because that's all the settings/configurations which RPH runs off. Also, i'm moving your topic to Grand Theft Auto V support as it's not an LSPDFR related issue.
  12. Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR! Please do the following: Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks or people using pirated softwareUpdate GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - These patches are needed. Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"Ensure that AdvancedHook.dll, ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folderEnsure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.Install these: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 , https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 In some cases, your issue is resolved after following the above steps. Your problem is that your replacing files, then RGSC is downloading an "update" that replaces your modded files with vanilla files, they've done this to prevent online modding. this can be bypassed by using a mods folder. How to create one is located here - http://openiv.com/?p=1132
  14. Windows has a habit of blocking files.. right click on all the LCPDFR related files and make sure they're unblocked. also make sure you have these installed: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 (please only download and install the x86 one) http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
  15. I'd like to thank both the Community Team and Management Team for giving me the opportunity to work alongside you as a Moderator, When i first joined in 2012 i was rarely active and never planned on using this site much, now this site is part of my daily life, i log on every day to help out in the Forums. I wasn't expecting to join the Community Team, so it was a shock when i was asked to join. Although being part of the team doesn't change what i'm here to do, I'm here to help out in the community in anyways possible, being part of the team just makes that even more possible. I've been here when 0.91 was a thing and i was around for FCRP when it opened (and when it sadly closed), I also plan on sticking around for a lot longer (especially now i'm not just a member but part of Staff). I'd also like to thank the rest of the community, because with your support topics and other discussions are the reason why i'm here. i've spent hours on end going through topics and having a laugh at some of them. this site is a great site to be on! =)
  16. Can you upload a screenshot of your directory? your log is still throwing out the same error, so a screenshot will help =)
  17. Then, unblock them. Windows has a habit of leaving files unblocked. I should've asked if they were blocked to begin with. unblock all of them then see if it fixes the issue.
  18. it's still showing an error with AdvancedHook.dll. go into your directory, right click on the file and see if it's blocked. if it's blocked then unblock it.
  19. You are running the game as Administrator i presume? Also make sure these are installed: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 (please only download and install the x86 one) http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
  20. download the manual version of LCPDFR 1.1, take out AdvamcedHook.dll and drop it into your directory, by the looks of it, you're missing it. EDIT: Install it into the folder you want to play LCPDFR on, if you're playing GTA IV then leave EFLC alone.
  21. Well according to your log file you're running 0.95 before installing, remove any LCPDFR related files then install the new version (which is 1.1)
  22. What version of LCPDFR are you running?
  23. Then you haven't installed the mod correctly, Mind uploading a screenshot of the contents inside your mod folder?
  24. it should come up via your launcher (like the normal updater does). If your replacing files, doing it correctly and it's not working then it's most likely updating the vanilla files back. this can be bypassed by using a mod folder - http://openiv.com/?p=1132
