  1. And when those kids hit someone they cannot be prosecuted since they ain't 18 yet. That means for 18 years they have nothing to fear, and after that they go straight to the jail...
  2. Hope Republicans will end this comedy with russia and ISIL. After all, America is World Police. Who else can help us?
  3. The thing with Harvey is I think that they tried a realistic approach: if all the cops at some point at the time are given the same choice Gordon was given (to do something for the mafia or die), Harvey would be involved in that. I know that many police have deep contacts with the crime world. In a city like Gotham that might be the only way of solving a case. Bullock reminds me of an L.A. Noire character too: Galloway, the homicide cop. I'm not a huge fan of the Batman universe so I can't judge on other things you pointed out but I think it may possibly be an original approach from the director :) Yeah! He also reminds me of a real life person Serpico, who was an honest detective in a corrupt NYPD. That ended really bad for him, however. For now I only feel tense towards some cases, like The Balloon Man. That... That really was far-fetched in my opinion. Also, I apologize for not posting in this thread for quite a time! Only recently managed to watch the rest of series.
  4. As a person who spent several months in B-More I really feel great for that. Excellent job officers! BTW, I never doubted county cops professionalism since I met some of them in person and that was a great experience :D
  5. Ekalb did a real nice one '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  6. Well actually I was going to a call with siren off, and set a waypoint and called backup there. They appeared also siren off.
  7. Well, that topic is definitely interesting for me since it states that Mexican justice system has no presumption of innocence. However, I did some research and discovered that they actually do have that presumption. The issue is a pre-trial detention thing. This detention is used heavily in Mexican justice system and some researchers claim this to be a violation of human rights since a detainee is presumed to be guilty by media, people, all that. Russia is known for that too, we like to detain or to impose a home arrest, however, the burden of proof is still carried by the accuser. I don't think this may be called an absence of presumption of innocence.
  8. Read the title as a 'Dog Avenger' and became curious indeed oh, it's you vehicle in the vid?
  9. Looking forward to fighting hobos on those underground stations! :D
  10. The one that caught one in the head? Good news for real, imagine how glad the family is! That must be a joke.
  11. They got him alive! Great. Face the jury, you cop-killing bitch, and spent your next life in some quiet correctional facility.
  12. Not wanting to get even more off-topic but felt the urge to ask, who does the actual firing? Corrections officers? National guardsmen? Or hired contractors? Being obsolete as it is, I guess, professional firesquad members are retired by now, and who will do their duty at that request?
  13. Yeah, a Tornado with a rotating bulb would be awesome. Also a Volkspolizei Surfer, a U.S. Army military police Duneloader, Prohibition Bureau Roosevelt, Metropolitan police Warrener... Stop me somebody.
  14. As far as I remember, it was a movie car painted red for black and white show, correct?) Philadelphia actually used red patrol cars, though. I'd say a cool and unusual choice And Ridley township still uses red cars. Speaking about unusual colors, that's Canadian emergency VIP taxi... Well, no, it's Toronto copcar.
  15. early 90's ESU uniform, patch, and cap - this one 80's mos def Shirt version this site helped: http://stevespak.com/spak/nypdesu.html
  16. Fort Minor, yo. Was thnking for a looong time about police video with this music. But that LSCS patrol video was great too!
  17. If I remember it right LMS said it was just a test feature he forgot to turn off before release. So my guess is that nothing else like that is programmed.
  18. Funny thing, you know, in russia men and women are almost equally present in law enforcement, since men hold patrol, operatives, and special ops positions while almost 70% of investigative positions are held by women. My own boss is a lady who did 10 years in police and another 7 in federal body, and beside me there are only 8-10 guys in our unit. Guess the whole diversity problem applies to the US and Europe mostly.
  19. Yes that's Connect! Are those two detectives? They sure look like ones ) Some more Connect vans, 'cause I love... You know. Note how many plates the van has. I know some truckers do that for taxation purposes, but a police car?.. By the way, that's a wonderful Aux livery. Truth is, they all were better back in time - check Housing with their amazing yellow roofs. Now Aux cars are identical to regular, and there's nothing for eye to catch!
  20. you'd be surprised, but most times the shooter commits suicide, and police only do a movie-like siege. There were cases when a member of the public with a gun stopped a shooting. I even remember one, which happened on the courthouse stairs, when the gunman was aiming for his wife and son and a citizen shot him in the back, saving the kid's life. Well, it ended bad for the citizen, unfortunately.
  21. Speaking about mass shootings, I'd say it has more to do with people's minds than with gun freedom. Mass shootings really are an American thing (yes they do happen elsewhere yes but please name any other civilized country where they're that common) So, if I knew that a lunatic with a daddy's gun could rush in my university and start shooting people, I'd rather had a gun myself. Banning guns wouldn't stop that: as it was mentioned before, it could be a knife, a razor blade, whatever. Gun ban will only leave me alone standing there like an idiot looking at this maniac cutting people and hearing sirens wailing in distance.

  23. And both ways someone gets hurt, unfortunately... Very well said! Considering those options, I'd rather choose a competent by-the-book cop when it comes to situations like this. Note: only after the perp got run over by a citizen's car, they managed to put him down. Otherwise he could have hurt much more people since police were obviously not ready to react.
  24. Oh sure, that man got what he deserved, but I was asking how would you evaluate the officers' behavior during the incident?
