  1. Sure... Some people write complaints to the police or prosecution service about that. Once I saw a complaint describing how CIA agents damaged the hot water pipe so the water can damage the underground cables and cause a blackout in the city.
  2. My guess Steam set this thing up to get more money being the only GTA V distributor in Australia. On a serious note, I wonder why did the management agree to this. They won't get any good reputation for this for sure.
  3. Do they patrol alone in Canada? A two-man car could provide more safety in cases like that one.
  4. In russia it's governed by the Ministry order, which states that a road police officer may undertake the pursuit if something of the following is present: 1.Failure to stop when ordered 2.Observation of a crime committed and no possibility to order a vehicle to stop 3.An order to stop the vehicle. Police allowed to use special equipment and police cars to forcibly stop a pursuit. However, I never heard about a spike strip being used, and if a patrol unit takes damage, the officer gets fired or has to pay for the repair (unofficially of course). So they mostly use heavy-duty civilian vehicles to block a road. If a vehicle gets damaged, it's hard to get a compensation. Police actively use weapons in pursuit, (you can call it drive-by I guess) trying to get the tires. Patrol police (not the road police) can also pursuit, however I don't know if there's an act which lays out a procedure. On top of that I may add that many police cars aren't that modern and can't keep up with new models. Pursuit more often does more harm than good since too many civilians are put in danger, and if you have a license plate it's no problem to track the suspect down by other means. I also may add from my own experience how we tried to apprehend a guy giving money to police, and when he saw us he drove off. Investigators have no rights to pursue a car and police accompanying us was unable to pursue him either so... That was all for the day.
  5. Maybe we all can just settle to that all the departments in different countries work differently. In Germany they help medics, in Russia they don't arrive at calls, in America we see it all. But this plugin is about LCPD which is in turn is about NYPD. And NYPD can do everything. :)
  6. In Baltimore I saw a huge engine blocking the alleyway just because some old lady had troubles breathing. And there were 2 traffic units and an ambulance. In Russia however you're lucky if EMS arrives on time :D
  7. In LCPDFR, running a non-ELS vehicle and using those lights modes toggled by / still makes traffic to move away. So my guess is AI reacts neither to lights nor to sirens, they just pull over then the script tells them to :)
  8. I love those LCPA badges up there! Nicely done.
  9. I like the FIB SRT. Neat, simple, eye-catching. Perhaps you could think of making the one for Granger?
  10. They'll never get caught. They're on a mission from God.
  11. Well, it's over for now. keep forgetting that spoiler thing
  12. That lightsaber.. God, why? I mean, there's a huge field for new ideas, but they decide to make a horrible lighsaber.
  13. That's some serious LAW STUFF down here. Just don't sue me man, I surrender
  14. I want a ticket system implemented: at one star you either pay a fine or go to jail if refuse/have no money. There was a mod like that for the IV. And also a jail mod: Bolingbroke Penitentiary is created for making jailbreaks! I wonder if that's possible to return the damage system, so peds won't die so quickly... And yeah, a way for the police to arrest NPCs And allow me to loose those goddamn weapons! *angry as hell face here*
  15. Do patrols still have the LCPD background for police computers?)
  16. If GTA V will be more stable I'll switch lo LSPDFR no problem. San Andreas still makes me feel good. GTA IV? Just police work.
  17. Being right as you are this by no way proves illegal immigration is a good thing. It's illegal, after all. If the only way for an employer to survive is to hire illegals working for food and asking no insurance, I'd vote for reforming that part of the system instead of giving a blind eye to illegal immigration. After all, a huge chunk of budget goes to this welfare thing..
  18. Nothing surprising, once I was stuck in a traffic jam in Italy for 30 minutes.
  19. Actually, uniforms and badges remind of NYPD a lot. But my only point was that NYPD blue is just a bit better from an aesthetics point of view. Fine with me! The only thing I think Harvy Dent was more realistically portrayed in the movie...
  20. When it was old history, everything was illegal and based on brute force. Romans made their empire on the force. Europeans arrived to America and forcefully conquered Indians. No one was legal. But that's history. It used to be that the one who has more force had the right to take your possessions. It used to be the God's will found in ordeals. We ain't 'back in the day'. So it's no point in saying 'no one is native in America'. When Europeans first arrived there, it was nothing. Now it's the #1 Economy, #1 Army, one of the best high education systems, and so on. I want to live in America, and to do this, I must pay enormous tuition fees, then study like hell to prove I'm good enough to deserve a chance to work in this country. Currently I can't do that. I just don't get it why someone who only manages to cross a border should get this privilege.
  21. I wish they would have preserved the NYPD Blue color scheme. Now it's a bit weird, having NYPD-like unifroms with all-black cars and red lighbars.
  22. Oh, a parking violation, I see! jk, lol :D
  23. Just ignore the guy, he simply is lonely and wants some attention. I feel the same too. Shame I don't have any nukes.
  24. Just when I went to this thread to ask if R* got police patrols back. So we have to use an extra mod to bring back this basic element of the GTA... I heard they can if they arrive in time to catch the vic struggling for life. I always wanted to run over a person in front of paramedics just to check it, but had no time It's really weird how public services are treated here. So we have buses on streets but no chance to use them or drive them. We have a subway tram, but it's even less useful than in GTA IV. There are cabs and a cab depot but only one model and company present. Police has good officer models and lightning equipment but poor liveries, no patrols, and only one open station. Paramedics now have different liveries but can't do shit and no hospitals are open. Our true hope are firefighters. They really do something now.
