  1. Oh so it is actually a thing. Thanks for the insight.
  2. Make sure you've the right version of the game. Rockstar updated GTA IV not so long ago, making all mods incompatible. You need to return to the v1.0.7.0 if you've the base game.
  3. Pretty sure it's not a thing here, since, well, for a start, we rarely have pursuits going on, and when we do, half the time our cars are outrun. No idea if that's a thing in the US either to be honest, I'm merely curious since moving roadblocks are seen in quite a few video games.
  4. Since that discussion is open, what about moving roadblocks? Blocking the way in front of the suspect with a couple police vehicles as they drive to force the suspect to a stop.
  5. Another guide that might help you if you actually have no idea what you're doing
  6. You've the ability to sort out ELS and Non-ELS vehicles in the Mods download section of the website. From there, you can browse yourself all the non-ELS cars available and make your own opinions about them, because we infortunately aren't you and cannot really know what you'd consider good or bad.
  7. I see a lot of people had the Worlds WIldest Police Chases game as well. I remember picking it in a random cheap store, surprised it actually made it to France in the first place, and even entirely translated at that. I remember feeling so damn cool having the woman putting the lightbulb on the roof of the unmarked car, I felt like in those cop shows.
  8. Most Shocking _______ is quite entertaining. Not quite a TV series as one would think, but it's still cool.
  9. I assume you talk about playing the story mode (aka while playing as Trevor/Franklin/Michael) since you talk about having stars. When in story mode , it's a common recurrence that only the car in the police3 slots comes to you when you have a wanted level while in the Los Santos area. It's been like that since the game release. You might want to use a mod called realism dispatch enhanced that will make the police cars more varied depending on the area/wanted level.
  10. People quoting the Quran for its bloodthirsty passages but disregarding the fact that almost every religion (especially christianism/catholicism) has similar passages in their respective holy books will always make me laugh. I guess it's a humanitarian gesture to cheer up after such dramatic events, so I should be thankful. Ain't Islam the problem. It's all the religions.
  11. Just like most medias like Fox News and all. Medias aren't objective whatsoever, they'll always pick the stories that suit their agendas.
  12. Doesn't matter much. You can just install the car you want to replace the police slot with in the latest patchday and it'll replace the original, vanilla one automatically. Just make sure to rename the car you want by police, same with any other side file.
  13. Alternatively, using the search bar usually helps, because many people asked this question a good thousand times already, you might want to check those answers.
  14. Since pretty much the original post, it was mentioned there. "Police brutality bullshit". Enough for people to start another debate about it.
  15. Yeah, I've read what you said. Doesn't make more sense the second time than the first. Basically, you say "I'm against brutality. But I don't care about it when it's against violent criminals". It's contradictory. Sorry to tell you that, but if police officers want to be respected, they need to remain examplar. No matter what kind of suspect they have in their hands, they all have to be treated the same way. Otherwise they're just lowering themselves to the same low level of those petty criminals. Which in turn makes people see them as nothing more than violent people in official suits with trigger happy fingers.
  16. So, for you, it's normal for the police to be violent against a violent criminal. Fight fire with fire, basically. And then people wonder why they have no more faith in police than criminals, well if they act like them no wonder.
  17. Oh so -that's- the problem. You should have said it sooner, a screenshot isn't the best way to show that something is static. Probably related to the fact that a screenshot is a static image itself. Make sure you install the correct ELS files that were made for the vehicles.
  18. I don't see any issue on your screen shots...
  19. It's forbidden for anyone other than the author to upload a model they don't own. Therefore, as long as the author doesn't put it back online, you'll have to deal without this vehicle.
  20. The version you reviewed is shown on your review. It shows people you reviewed the file at an earlier stage and that the comments might be outdated. I don't see any point in changing this now.
  21. Not so sure the environment shares your love for those though.
  22. Hm, I'm sorry, but if anything, you're the one being ignorant. The slightest change of weight can have an impact on fuel consumption when taking off and gaining altitude. There are many factors coming into play when dealing with fuel consumption, and weight is one of them. If you want an in-depth article about that, and how peanuts bags weight can save airlines money, feel free to read this: https://www.wired.com/2012/09/how-can-airlines-reduce-fuel-costs/
  23. 9/10000 is already 9 too much. That number should be 0/10000, period. Saying that "companies overbook to make plane tickets cheaper" is just buying the lies they're telling people to justify their disgusting actions. As mentioned above, whether you show up or not, THE TICKET IS PAID. The company gets its money. The income for the company is the same, therefore the price of the plane tickets should be identical, since the situation is identical whether the passenger shows up or not. Better: if the passenger paid, but doesn't show up, the plane still takes off, with 1 less passenger, which means less food/drinks to distribute in the cabin, and less fuel used to fly the plane due to the weight difference, while still keeping the money of that missing passenger. So they even gain money from it, they don't lose any. Trying to double sell a seat is just being greedy, so they can have pretty numbers to show to the board of directors to make shareholders happy.
