I don't think that the model is faulty nor that the import failed. There most likely isn't enough space to load the vehicle in memory. The model and/or its textures are probably too heavy.

On paper (is that a gallicism?), sure, downloading games (legally, of course) is better. Now, if you have a crappy Internet connection like mine, you're better off with discs. My peak download rate is 170kB/s, which means I'd need more than 2 days (about 49 hours) to download a 30-gigabyte game. I like the way Steam works: you buy a game and then it's yours forever. I really do. But that's not restricted to digital purchases, fortunately. You can still buy the retail version of that game, activate it and then install it. It'll be yours to keep forever just as well. I read a very interesting article about the digital market recently, but I don't remember where (all I remember is that it featured lots of figures). This article concludes that even though there are more and more games that can only be purchased online and downloaded through Steam or another similar platform, we're not ready to have an all-digital market yet, just because there are still lots of peasants like me who simply can't afford to download tens of gigabytes in just a matter of minutes. This isn't North Korea. There are tons of console and PC games that can be played by 8-year-olds, but yeah, parents should be more responsible and not let their 5-year-old kids play Grand Theft Auto or Call of Duty. But that's not the point. The point is, a console is easier to use than a PC, overall. You don't even need discs anymore, if that's what bothers you. The only downside is: if it breaks, there's not much you can do about it, unless its warranty hasn't yet expired. On the other hand, you're less likely to experience crashes and stutters when you play on a console. Anyway, could we please get back on topic?

What if that little kid wants to play with his friends and Billy? Let's be honest, not many kids have their own gaming computer. Three words: ease of use. Press the power button, insert the disc, and you're good to go. No need to install the games, update the drivers, worry about software-related issues (compatibility problems, for instance) and hardware specifications, etc. Don't forget not many operating systems are as intuitive for an 8-year-old than that of a console.

They aren't very effective anyway, they're bugged as hell and never quite work as intended.

Le problème avec la version PC du jeu, c'est qu'elle est très mal optimisée, du coup la gestion de la mémoire est assez chaotique. Je ne dis pas que c'est forcément ça, mais je te conseille quand même d'essayer avec les voitures originales. Qui ne tente rien n'a rien.

Sorry, they should be fixed now. The falls are closed 11 months a year. I visited them for the second time during the first weeks of May, when they're usually open, and this was absolutely gorgeous! Here's what the whole place looked like in mid-April:

This may be just what I need, then. I haven't played BF4 in months due to its numerous issues at the time and haven't gotten around to playing it now that I'm back.

I guess I'll give it a try then. I just wanted to play BF3 so badly after all these weeks.

This right here, is exactly how I feel about this. I got my key just 15 minutes after the beta was announced, but couldn't play it at the time because I was still in Quebec and since, of course, I hadn't brought my gaming rig with me. So I watched dozens of videos on YouTube. Then I realized how flawed the gameplay is (IMHO). The more I saw of the game, the less I wanted to play it. Now I've been back for a week and I still haven't played it. In fact I didn't even bother downloading it. I'm just not interested at all...

La solution ultime serait de ne pas utiliser de script ; là au moins les risques seraient minimes. Le mieux à faire dans ce genre de situation, c'est de tester les scripts un par un. Étant pour la plupart développés pour fonctionner sur un jeu non modifié, les problèmes d'intercompatibilité sont un risque. Si tu vois qu'après ajout d'un certain script ton jeu plante souvent, tu sais ce qu'il te reste à faire.

I had similar issues with my build a bit over two years ago. I had BSODs and driver-related issues (messages popping up saying the graphics driver stopped responding and could not recover, bla bla bla). It turned out both my brand new graphics card and one of the memory modules were at fault (very unlucky, indeed). memtest could help, you could just leave your computer on while you sleep. Also, you should test it with only one stick of RAM for more than an hour, otherwise it may be misleading, and trust me, I've been through this.
