The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Can't pull over cars and cars don't move out of the way with addon vehicle!

Hi guys,

 

Like the title says, I just installed Albo's Modded DLC.rpf for addon vehicles, and I have installed all handling, carvariation and vehicles.meta lines but I can't perform a traffic stop on anyone, and no one gives way when I enable my sirens.

 

Would appreciate some help!

Hey, thanks for this, it didn't work again, although I went to try and install another addon car to see if that one would work and I must have changed something in the text and now the first car is fixed. Thanks for replying though :)

For future reference with addon cars - In the vehicles.meta, if you want the car to be law enforcement, always add "FLAG_LAW_ENFORCEMENT FLAG_EMERGENCY_SERVICE"  to the <flags> section if they aren't already in the meta line. In the carvariations, make sure sirensetting is set to at least 1.

It changes with pretty much every car, one can be 1, the other could be 13 etc etc.

Also, as a note for OP, ELS vehicles do not use carvariations, if you run them or want to.

Hmm, well I just removed the carvariation text for the car and it stopped being able to pull people over and stuff, and it fixed when I installed carvariation again and it is an ELS car? I don't know but thanks for the info on the sirensetting

 

Also, I have just tried installing another car, and done everything the same as the first one, just by adding a new <item> entries under the first car and changing it to the correct names in the dlc.rpf data files but it just says, invalid model ...

I know, that's why I said at least set to 1.  :P  I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure even ELS cars have to have a carvariations, even if it doesn't use those exact settings.  The sirensetting is what helps allow it to be able to act as law enforcement.

The model files are renamed to police6, it's an unmarked charger by policesco

Interesting thing is that the vehicles.meta has all the correct POLICE6 names, however, the carvariations is missing the POLICE6 line.  The car should spawn with or without carvariations, but please do make sure you add the POLICE6 carvariations.  Also double check the vehicle files and make sure they are all correct.

Still no luck :/ I just can't understand that .. Maybe I'll ask Albo

I might have fixed it. I think the problem was the few lines that I added before at the end were in the middle of the two cars when it should have been at the bottom. Also, yes you do need even ELS cars that are addons to have a carvariation for them to act as police cars.
