EvilJackCarver got a reaction from BlueLine Vibes in Outdated Mods suggestion.I like this idea, honestly. A small orange warning box with a note that 'users have reported it as incompatible with the latest versions and blah blah crashes blah blah oddities such and such' near the top would help with mods that aren't actively maintained, such as (as mentioned) Albo's plugins.
I think an implementation similar to the way it's done on LSPDFR: The Mod would probably be good - you could use the 'clean install' warning box where the 'antivirus false positive' box is, and rework it as necessary - that way, it's up at the top before the screens, yet it still draws attention. Alternatively, adding the warning box to above the "About This File" header would still make it rather visible for those reading the description without being as out-of-the-way as a header.
EDIT: I did a piss-poor job of explaining what I meant when I typed this bit out, so I made a couple of mockups in my other reply.

Oof. Thanks for pointing this out. This should be one of our automatic ones; so we'll check what happened there.

EvilJackCarver reacted to Cyan in Platform?I'd hope so, considering it's a PC mod.

EvilJackCarver reacted to MattexD in Need help decyphering the crash logs! No, it is not. CalloutManager in question is a plugin, you can find it on the LCPDFR.com site:

EvilJackCarver reacted to Will in LSPDFR FAQWow, that's an outdated link. The topic is 6 years old and it's been deleted for 3 years. I'm guessing you got that from the installation guide page so I went ahead and fixed that. Surprisingly, I didn't break the entire site.
The support forum link was also outdated so I fixed that as well. Also, it said LSPDFR was linked in there but it never actually is, so I fixed that too.
I think that's my quota of website fixes met for now.

EvilJackCarver got a reaction from TheMurderousCricket in No activity at all?I don't know if Cyan's already fixed it or not (they [she?] probably did, since it's been eighteen hours), but it's functioning fine on my end at the moment.

EvilJackCarver got a reaction from SupremeMQ in LSPDFR.dll crashedCurrently, LSPDFR is only supported up to game build 2060. Please wait for an update. There is no ETA for an update at this time.

EvilJackCarver got a reaction from Internal Affairs in Stopping Steam UpdatesDisabling automatic updates for Steam only disables automatic downloading and updating, not the update checks. If the publisher pushes an update for the game, Steam will lock it out until it's updated.
There is (sadly) no way to completely disable updating of games, short of bonkers workarounds that will backfire in a couple of weeks anyway when the DRM locks it out.

I understand.
Sorry for the misunderstanding. I hope we'll get along very well in the future 🙂
Also, while I was typing out the post, I didn't see your edit so I assumed you edited it after I posted mine.

EvilJackCarver reacted to Sam in Welcome to the new LCPDFR.comWe may end up doing something like over at mod-rdr.com where there's some fancy hi-jinks around the display pictures instead of pips, but I'm unsure yet. I didn't think that the pips added anything other than unnecessary clutter to the side panel as they were. You can still see them on profiles so they're not totally gone, I suppose.
I don't really have an answer yet as far as that goes to be honest, we'll just have to wait and see.
A fair point, I'll see if we can make it a little clearer.

EvilJackCarver got a reaction from ziipzaaapM16A4 in Police drag fallen officers out of harm's way. I find this amazing.I have never seen that happen in my playtime. Does it happen in Online as well, or just SP?
O/T in spoiler.

EvilJackCarver got a reaction from UnknownBastion in Outdated Mods suggestion.Tacking onto my previous reply:
Yeah, I didn't really do a good job of explaining myself, so I made a quick mockup of the "warning box" idea I had, made via element inspector using LML as the guinea pig (sorry, LMS!)
With it above the gallery header:
With it above the "About This File" section:

EvilJackCarver got a reaction from MitzeeV1 in Ignorant asking for help.Basically, it's saying that you shouldn't be using Arrest Manager and StopThePed together, as some (if not all) of AM's functions are also handled by STP.
My recommended course of action for resolving this particular problem would be to uninstall Arrest Manager, as it is not actively maintained (whereas Beijojo does still maintain StopThePed).

EvilJackCarver reacted to ineseri in Ignorant asking for help. This, pretty much. The error message says what is wrong and it's up to you to fix it.
Off-topic: I wonder when Server Hall Firefighting Sim 2020 will release @EvilJackCarver

EvilJackCarver got a reaction from zGohanz in 2021 Tahoe PPVHonestly? I like the design of the front fascia more than I do the current generation of Tahoe. Looking at the civilian model from the Chevrolet website, it also kinda looks like it might have the indicators separate from the brake lights again (they combined them into the brake lights in 2014), which is always a good thing.
Not a fan of the fact that they went with touchscreens on the entertainment centre, though. Touchscreens do not stand up to abuse well, and they're most likely going to see abuse. It also looks like it's got a pushbutton shifter (don't like 'em either) - on one hand, it'll be easier to throw it in park for foot chases, but on the other hand, it'll be far easier to bonk it out of gear by mistake.
The ten-speed gearbox has me intrigued, though. It makes more sense for the SSV since that submodel is more kitted for off-road heavy-duty work (e.g. towing the search boat), since you'll need low gears for starting and high gears for cruise, but it doesn't make much sense to have it on the PPV. I'll be interested to see if there's complaints about it short-shifting or skipping gears altogether.
