ATI Oh well I guess a GPU is a GPU.................. I recommend NVIDIA but that's just me. But, for GTA IV, a 9500GT won't really do the trick (I'm looking at this). Not up to par with the newer series at all. For example, only 32 CUDA cores.

Normally, a substandard performance with ELS lights would indicate a physical hardware deficiency so a new graphics card and PSU should help, at least a little.

Because, I assume, some people don't know how the math works out so they freak and assume it is like 3 trillion terabytes. Just a strategy to get people's attention. An effective one, usually.

I like hardcore mode, myself. I've been using it for months and haven't had any complaints. Sure, I get shot in the face a lot, but I think you'd be a lucky SOB to survive a gunshot to the face. So I don't have any realism complaints, yet.

A notice about GPM, Since so many people are attempting to log in all at once, no one should expect to get in anytime soon, and not have any server problems.

That doesn't surprise me. After weeks of no GPM, there are a ton of people itching to log back on and download things, all at once. I wouldn't expect their site to be perfect right now.

Can you provide a specific example? It may be that you need to experiment with different light patterns, since every pattern has different speeds. It may also be your computer, hard to tell.

Correct. Any mod brings with it a chance of random crashes, so like xDodox said, random crashes are all part of the modding experience, if that's how you want to look at it. Run Windows Update by going to the Control Panel in Windows.

Run through this checklist and see if anything here fixes the problem.

In case you can't maneuver through the in game SNT menu, go into the trainer.ini file and a little ways down set "KeyBindingsDisabled" to 1. And please edit your posts instead of double posting.

Try running the game as an admin (right click, hit properties, compatibility, then under privilege level select run as admin). If that doesn't work, reinstall LCPD:FR while selecting to run the installer as an admin (right click, run as admin). If that doesn't work, re download this and this.

ELS V5 has a lower crash rate (for me, it doesn't crash at all) than V6. But all mods have a chance of crashing a game. No way to prevent all crashes. That ELS fix just has you press a button to turn all police lights for the AI on at once. From what I heard it doesn't work well. I've never used it.

You can not spawn multiple partners with the initial "Y" command. However, I have spawned more than two partners before and, although confusing, I believe it worked fine (though my memory often fails me....). You need to wait a few seconds between every partner spawn or else they will get "stuck" and not move out of the car. Yes, there is a NOOSE truck with ELS. Last I knew it was on GPM but I'll see if there's another download lurking in the jungle somewhere. EDIT: No luck finding another download link. Sorry.

The only benefit would be better weapons, like the grenade launcher and sticky bomb in TBoGT. That's it (in terms of LCPD:FR).

Scripting wise? Probably. Now, of course there would have to be AI reactions that would have to be implemented, but those could probably be copied from a regular traffic stop. So is it possible? I think, yes. Not sure if it would be worth it or not.
