  1. Please post all .log files. This seems like a problem with dependencies to me.
  2. Please post all .log files.
  3. Both xlive and dsound generally interract the same way with LCPD:FR. So yes, xlive is stable.
  4. This problem is called "Texture Loss," caused by GTA IV thinking it dosen't have enough resources. There are several ways you can combat this: Use Large Address Aware to give GTA IV more resources. Use commands to try and combat GTA IV's stubborness. See http://gtaforums.com/topic/384473-ultimate-gtaiv-performance-fix/ for more details. Uninstall resource intensive scripts and models. Turn down graphics settings.
  5. ELS is problably the problem; see http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/troubleshooting-crashes-r112.
  6. "The Native function named SWITCH_RANDOM_TRAINS " and "VehStructInstance false" errors are caused by vehicles. Corrupt vehicles are due to: Bugged Modified Vehicles; Replace with originals and reinstall one at a time to find problem. LCPD:FR was installed incorrectly; Completely uninstall LCPD:FR and anything related. Vehicles are saved in parking spot; Use different save or uninstall modified vehicle. Bad mods are causing problem (as already stated), install each mod one at a time and validate with 30 minutes of gameplay. ELS AdvancedHook incompatability; install LCPD:FR manually and delete AdvancedHookInit.asi GTA IV's scenery is corrupted, reinstall GTA IV.
  7. Could you please elaborate on the problem?
  8. Something's wrong with your languages. Try a manual reinstall of LCPD:FR.
  9. It's possible that a modification is conflicting with LCPD:FR, and causing LCPD:FR to crash. Try reinstalling LCPD:FR manually, in case one of your modifications overwrote a LCPD:FR file (i.e. AdvancedHook). Did this start happening as soon as you changed something in your game? Also, can you post your LCPD:FR diagnostics tool, AdvancedHook and Scripthook logs?
  10. Have you set the GTA IV directory to read-only? Are you running GTA IV as adminsitrator? Are you missing any LCPD:FR dependincies? What other modifications do you have?
  11. Hi, Els' problems mainly stem from Advancedhook. See this guide I wrote (http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/troubleshooting-crashes-r112) for troubleshooting ELS crashes.
  12. Try deleting AdvancedHookInit.asi.
  13. You can solve this problem by enabling ELS Express Mode by pressing Ctrl+Backspace. This will cause ELS to behave just like the regular GTA IV siren, including the siren turning off when you exit the vehicle.
  14. A little confused... xlive is an asiloder. Generally, the two choices are xlive.dll and dsound.dll. In short, xlive.dll disables multiplayer capability and allows you to load external savegames, while dsound.dll does not.
  15. GTA IV, as a game, has a set list of vehicles related directly to the game. GTA IV only treats police vehicles as what it has defined. So, while you can add a virtually infinite amount of cars, you still have to define some parameters (such as in-game name) as a vehicle that already exists. The police vehicles in GTA IV include: fbi, police, police2, police3, police4, polpatriot, pstockade, noose, and nstockade.
  16. This problably has to do with AdvancedHook. Try deleting Advancedhookinit.asi (and install taser manualy). If that dosen't work, try this: http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/troubleshooting-crashes-r112
  17. police3, police4, and policeb are TBOGT only, but you can still add them to GTA IV. This is because the application itself is virtually identical.
  18. Did you enable ELS on that vehicle, with SLOTCONTROL.ini?
  19. LCPD:FR does not support cracks, as they are illigal and are incompatible with LCPD:FR.
  20. Try following this guide I have written: http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/troubleshooting-crashes-r112 It describes how to have ELS be stable with ELS Ai. I hope this helps!
  21. It seems like Advancedhook.dll is missing or outdated, possibly replaced by another modification. Try doing a manual install of LCPD:FR over any other modifications you have. See '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> for details.
  22. Seems like Advancedhook is outdated or missing. Try doing a manual LCPD:FR reinstall. If that does not work, please describe the problem.
  23. It's problably ELS. Try this: http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/troubleshooting-crashes-r112
  24. Unisntalling programs works on the principal of having "uninstall applications" annexed by the control pannel. If it is not appearing, it means that your uninstall application (most likely uninstgtaiv.exe or something similar) is missing. You can manually uninstall GTA IV by deleting the following folders: GTA IV root directory C:Users[username]AppDataLocalRockstar GamesGTA IV C:Users[username]DocumentsRockstar GamesGTA IV Steam may still incorrectly think it is installed, though. Your best bet is to try going through Steam.
  25. xlive.dll is an asi loader that forces GTA IV to function without Games For Windows. While this disables multiplayer functionality, it also allows you to load your own savegames not specific to a Windows Live Account. Dsound is simply an ASI loader that does not affect GTA IV multiplayer. Even so, ELS can function using xlive.dll instead of dsound.dll. So, choosing between them depends on your needs. If you need multiplayer functionality, choose dsound.dll. If you need to use your own savegames, and dislike the multiplayer functionality of GTA IV, use xlive.dll.
