  1. Also, you can disable autosave using the LCPDFR diagnostics tool.
  2. I can't even figure out how to stop boats driving recklessly or acting suspiciously.
  3. Realisticly, I would expect having to run at a lower resolution, such as 1280x800 with modifications.
  4. I think OpenIV only displays one of each kind of wheel so developers can see the wheel well area. Try putting the model in game, and see if it appears correctly.
  5. Install these: .Net Framework 4.5, Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012
  6. While cp702 is right, it can be caused also by too much congestion. If you have a customized popcycle.dat, cargrp.dat, or any other traffic modification such as trafficload.asi, remove them and your problem might be solved. If this post solves your problem, please mark this post as "Best Answer" to indicate this thread as solved.
  7. Do you mean that 4 gb are used by your system at idle?! That is a ton of memory usage! That is most definitely the cause of your low FPS. If you can't solve the problem, I would suggest reinstalling your operating system.
  8. Or, you can just manually install the taser using these instructions: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  9. This crash is common with .ASI files, usually AdvancedHookInit.asi and ELS.asi. Check if these are in your folder, delete them if present, and then try starting. If this post solves your problem, please mark "Best Answer" so this thread is indicated as solved.
  10. This crash is common with .ASI files, usually AdvancedHookInit.asi and ELS.asi. Check if these are in your folder, delete them if present, and then try starting. If this post solves your problem, please mark "Best Answer" so this thread is indicated as solved.
  11. I'm sure that's fine. However, you can make your game run faster if you use Large Address Aware, so all of your RAM can be used. Also, a hot back of the case is not a good indicator of your computer, it's important to correctly determine the actual temperatures of the computer components themselves. For example, 35 degrees celsius is within the operating temperature of your processor. If your temperatures are high, such as ~55 degrees, you can try the following: Increase fan speed or fan curve Change CPU cooler Route cables behind motherboard tray for more efficiant airflow If your chassis has one, open the door for slightly more airflow
  12. Well, your speed is also limited by your internet connection.
  13. While AdvancedHookInit.asi is needed for the taser to work automaticly, you can also install it manualy without needing AdvancedHookInit.asi. See '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> for more details.
  14. Have you tried reinstalling? And did you make certain of how much system memory is being used with taskmanager?
  15. Great. But please mark post as "Best Answer" so this thread is indicated as solved.
  16. Try deleting AdvancedHookInit.asi. This crash is typical of ASI files, such as ELS.
  17. This crash is common with using the Emergency Lighting System. If you try disabling ELS AI, GTA IV should function correctly. If this solves the problem, you can try the following to pinpoint the problem: Reduce the clear rand ELS Ai distance, Change your ASI Loader Disable cruise lights in the Vehicle configuration files If this post solved your problem, please mark this post as "Best Answer" to indicate this thread as solved.
  18. It's still possible a process is hogging memory for your system. Also, to be sure you are using your discrete graphics card, make sure the display cable is connected to the actual card rather than the motherboard. Also, although it seems insignificant, changing your Windows power scheme from Power Saver to Perfrormance made a dramatic difference on my laptop. If this post solved your problem, please mark this post as "Best Answer" to indicate this thread as solved.
  19. Worter's callouts also contain "less than lethal" Paramedics I've found to work well and be more intergrated with LCPD:FR. Paramedics called by a cell phone, however, will only attend to the player and not to any civilians in GTA IV.
  20. This widespread problem with the Emergency Lighting System can be solved by disabling ClearRandAiExtrasSp, reducing the value of MaxElsCarsAtOnce, changing your asi loader, and disabling ELS AI altogether (in ELS.ini). Cruise lights located in individual vehicle configuration files are sometimes the cause of the problem. If this answers your quesion, please mark this post as "Best Answer" to indicate this thread is solved.
  21. You have to enable ELS on your car. To do this, go to "GTA IVELSSLOTCONTROL.ini," open it with notepad, and enable ELS on the cooresponding vehicle. Make sure you installed your vehicle by opening vehicles.img using a program such as OpenIV, using it to replace an existing vehicle, and then enabled ELS (above). For LCPDFR related problems, the Diagnostics tool should solve most dependancy problems like willpv23 suggested. It is located in "GTAIVLCPDFRLCPDFR Diagnostics Tool.exe" If none of the above solves your problem, please follow the forum guidelines as listed:
  22. Did you: Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues Make sure that you run the game as an administrator. Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only" Remove AdvancedHookInit.asi Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder. Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation. Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself. Install these: .Net Framework 4.5, Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012 Crashing at the begining of gameplay is often related to the AdvancedHookInit.asi; try removing it.
  23. You can add random access memory very easily. All you have to do is insert a RAM module into the cooresponding slot, usually right to the central processor. Keep in mind, only ~2gb of ram will be useable if you have a 32-bit operating system. However, that does not seem to be the direct cause of your problem. If you have at least 3gb of ram and a 64-bit operating system, you can enable GTA IV to use more RAM by using Large Address aware (see '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> for more details) This crash is common with using the Emergency Lighting System. If you try disabling ELS AI, GTA IV should function correctly. You can try the following to pinpoint the problem: Reduce the clear rand ELS Ai distance, Change your ASI Loader Disable cruise lights in the Vehicle configuration files If none of the above solves your problem, please follow the forum guidelines as listed:
  24. Are you using VDH Police Helper? Cars driving on a mapped path controlled by another modification may have problems. This happens with VDH Police helper, unless you're using an older version of LCPDFR such as .95 Please mark This Post as "Best Answer" If it answers your question.
  25. I've found that this widespread problem can be solved by disabling ClearRandAiExtrasSp, changing your asi loader, and disabling ELS AI altogether (in ELS.ini). Also, individual vehicle configuration files with enabled cruise lights could be problematic. As for finding version 7 of the Emergency Lighting System, it is still avaliable on LCPD:FR here: https://www.lcpdfr.com/files/download/2985-emergency-lighting-system/
