Starting an flight training major at a local university this fall where learning is done from inside the cockpit, my biggest dream is US Naval Aviation. Due to the nature of the military & the lottery form of giving jobs it's a pretty difficult job to get, but there no sense in not trying

As many have pointed out there are ALOT of factors that could result in the downfall of this game, but I am at least excited for someone attempting it. Maybe I'm alone in this, but I am really drawn to the idea of having absolute freedom in a game while the game being as close to real as possible to simulate cool stuff that simply isnt possible (or legal) in real life, while managing to skip most the more annoying parts of life. Hopefully even if this game fails another one can pick up on it's mistakes, it really is an awesome idea that I've been hoping for.

The F35 is primarily being designed because of the need for a "5th generation" fighter, beyond the eye of many people in the states nations like China and Russia are developing their own stealth fighter aircraft and the US is trying to keep itself a few steps ahead than other nations. Yes some of the current military airframes are long over due for retirement (as mentioned particularly the Marine Corps running AV8Bs & F/A18C's (the older models of the F/A18)) but many combat aircraft are still completely effective, for example Navy F/A 18F & E/A 18G's both airframes are relatively new and mission ready, two seater aircraft to allow for more accurate delivery of ordinance/ jamming as well as having two engines, in the case one engine fails the engines are powerful enough to keep the aircraft aloft on one. Basically with the world in it's current state, I understand the need for updating some of our older military gear BUT I do not see the F35 as a replacement for everything their looking to replace it with. To create a fighter that is suppose to fill 3 primary combat roles and then split that between 3 military branches, it simply isn't effective. Sup guys, with some money drawn in from christmas & the money I've gotten from working I've been considering getting the oculus rift. I know it still isn't optimized for many games but I often see it used in different games by way of modding & such. I guess what I'm getting at is, is it worth the money? It seems like an amazingly immersive way to play games but is it more trouble than its worth to attempt to play it on games it's not yet optimized for (ex. battlefield 4, gta iv first person mod, flight sim x, possibly gta v etc.). And if it does work pretty good, is it difficult to modify game files to be able to use the rift & are those modifications irreversible, meaning the game cannot be played normally again? I read up on a few articles but I figure I'd poke around to see if anyone has more experience with it or things like it Thanks evrrybody

Hey everybody, I was wondering if someone could break down for me how to create colored wig wags. Basically I'm trying to make the reverse lights to my charger flash red & blue and I know the standard way of copying the reverse light & attaching it to extra 5&6 but I don't really get how to texture/map the lights to flash red & blue Any help would be awesome, thanks!

Well frankly I do not understand why people are making such a fight over the CIA treatment of detainees, there is a very small percentage that choose to go into the military or federal government, while some of it may be corrupt many have worked their entire career in the interest of protecting our assets and ensuring our citizens safety. With that being said, I don't understand WHAT THE FUCK people are talking about. Sorry I missed how everyone in the nation is a national security expert and knows exactly what is needed for the gathering of intelligence for this nation. On the flip side, complaining of human rights issues, the detainees are more often than not are placed into custody with irrefutable evidence to tie them to some terrorist acts or organizations, in that case WHY THE FUCK are people worried about the rights of these people, who might as well be goddamn animals for the acts they have done. Not to mention those who haven't served in the military shouldn't have such vexed opinions against cruel treatment of terrorists because they're NOT THE ONES GOING DOWN RANGE AGAINST THESE GUYS LASTLY If torturing a terrorist will save just ONE MORE American life abroad, then by all means break every bone in his body for all I care. I simply fail to understand why people are so concerned over the rights of terrorists when it is OUR brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, cousins, friends, neighbors, etc. that are forward deployed and can potentially loose their life due to a lack of proper intel. I may be preaching it to the choir, but I feel like those who are pushing for the rights of these detainees are betraying their nation, while I do support human rights and fair treatment, this world isn't all rainbows and gumdrops the real world is a tough place. Whaddup guys, so I've run into an interesting problem, I took a model with a completely jacked up template and remapped it to properly sit on the vehicle, now when I placed the model in openiv the trunk and hood both show up black and when I attempt to pull up the car in game Niko is driving but on thin air, no car in sight, just Niko riding the air like a proud stallion. First time I've ever tried remapping a template, so I was just wondering if anyone had more extensive experience and knew what the problem is, or where to look to correct the issue Thanks Guys
