  4. Try to use 3dsmax and the OFIO script. 3ds does handle highpoly better. And theres optimizing tools too :) converted the VW T5 Caravelle that way :)

Try to detach some parts into several objects.. as willpv23 said, its the poly count.. but if you detach some parts into separate objects it will work, but i recommend you to do some optimizing right there :) Detach into the smallest parts you can, optimize them.. and then reattach them to what you need them to be :) Optimizing a huge object without detaching would not result in a good model.

  9. Yeah i've had other issues with that file in the root folder. But now it's only two scripthooks present: ScriptHookDotNet.asi and ScriptHook.dll
  10. Already did :) But thank you for the tip :) Im running multiplayer mainly. So im just using singleplayer for testing purposes, so xliveless is not for me im afraid :)

Herro When running LCPDFR 1.0d Hotfix 1, the game runs for a minute or so, Then When I approach anything LCPDFR related ( Resist arrest randomly, or anything that spawns a vehicle ) or if LCPDFR creates a mission, the game will crash with a black screen and the default 'the application has stopped working' error. I'm running: - LCPDFR 1.0d Hotfix - GTA IV 1.0.7.0 (Steam Version) - ELS and Added Policevehicles. ( I've tried to narrow down the issue to ELS or vehiclemod problems.. but the game runs just fine with no LCPDFR activated. ) - Win 7 x64 Windows event log (seems to be the most interesting of the logs) shows the following: Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.   12. Actually, redoing the Vehicles.ide and Handlind.dat i've solved the issue.. So it must have been a issue with one of the Flags related to the police1 or police2 lines.. Strange :O
  13. Hello :) I have recently had some issues related to the call for Prisoner transport. And other crashes mostly related to LCPDFR spawning units ( Noose, random world event, random backup units helping me and prisoner transport ) These random spawning will of course cause alot of crashes for atleast us using ELS enabled vehicles. As it seems that LCPFR always spawn them with Sirens on. But the question is.. as the main issue is the call for Prisoner transport, mostly in multiplayer - i've tried to work around this, adding a Non-ELS vehicle to the PSTOCKADE slot and then add 3 PSTOCKADE lines for SuspectTransporterModels in the LCPDFR.ini file. But no luck, even with that - LCPDFR spawns me a POLICE2 unit ( which is ELS enabled ) and the game crashes 99% of the time.. Does this line do anything at all ? or is it disabled for some reason in 1.0D ? Current pack. *LCPDFR 1.0D *ELS V8.0 R1 (tried with and without these mods.. seems to make no difference.. ) * IV Square Map Asi script * VRadar Script * SimpleNativeTrainer
  14. One question i have about LCPDFR in general since 1.0, are there any way or maybe setting to lower the output of the Randomchat and such sounds? They seem to be unaffected by the game volume settings of course :)

  19. Hello :) Im currently testing out the OpenFormats IO for 3dsmax as 3dstudio is my main development software. But in lack of a good tutorial to understand the scripts handling of materials and the .wft file in general, im seeking some help here too :) Im working on two vehicle models with each its own set of issues of course :) the one is an ambulance which is nearly finished. But upon export i do recieve errors leading me to materials shader errors. As there is no tutorial to set them up properly from scratch, im really in need of help of someone that have used it before :) The other model is a firetruck that actually exports perfectly and is also working ingame. But it does miss the ELS lights and some dummies im trying to add. Im importing another unlocked vehicle and im trying to use the lights and dummies from that one, but whem they are added and its exported and imported into OpenIV, the modelviewer in OpenIV crashes and the model is not working ingame. Ive set the dummies and lights in the same hiearchy as the donor model, but still not working. As theres no error upon export, im kinda stuck on what could cause it. Also im not able to assess the issue in zmodeler, because when its exported as OFT with OFIO, zmodeler is not able to import the mesh for some reason :o So i would be grateful for any help or advice on this script.. As the manual is rather.. Well, non existant :) Br Firstyminator

Anytime! :) I would really love to see that :) Well no need for you to translate yourself, thats why we are here :) But for example a gxt/ini file with language lines where the script fetches language. So that for example end users can create their own language file to use with the script :) I don't know much about the API scripting myself, so i cant say if its possible. But most gtaiv and lcpdfr scripts fetches some info from a ini file :) It should really be implemented into lcpdfr, that would be nice to see! It does not look like theres many language lines, but it looks like alot of work though compiling the scripts! Hehe! Coursework comes in Firsty row indeed! You cant get a degree in IV modding these days ( yet ) Keep up the great work! Really appreciate it
  21. Hey LukeD :) Loving this script indeed! One question i have though. What would it take to for example have the mission text in a gxt or ini file aside from the script itself, so that we could for example translate the mission text to our language ? :) Would love to have norwegian mission descriptions ingame, that would add alot of realism! :)
