I explained on the first page here that it's just two new animations we added, it doesn't change anything else.  If you are using CopHolster, you might want to disable the LSPDFR one using the settings provided.

As above, it's just an animation.  It will not change anything else.  Holsters and whether or not they have a gun in them are controlled by player model drawables, not animations.

I apologize, I should've read before commenting lol. I just updated so I'm trying it out now. I do have a question about the detaining suspects in police vehicles. I just arrested a ped and the animation is the same. Does this animation only work for certain vehicles? If you've already answered this my bad.

Can you add new cars instead of us having to go through the struggle of downloading stuff and potentially ruining our games for a bit?

Would be nice for new custom cars, for example, a Dodge Charger or Ford Explorer.

To answer your question if you don’t have traffic policer by allbo it will crash for some reason

This is just my opinion on it, I could easily be proven wrong at some point in the future as I am not part of the development team. I don't ever see custom cars being included with LSPDFR.  Unless our Community lazy boy Manager decided to start developing cars, or we asked a current staff member who is a dev,  it'd show favoritism towards a particular developer, which would lead to various issues all ranging to "why are X's cars included but not mine?"

Not to mention, there is a a decent amount of people who prefer vanilla vehicles.  It's just better for everyone that LSPDFR doesn't include custom cars, that way it comes down to the individual to decide if they want custom cars and whose cars they want.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

I think the beauty of lspdfr is also in this , creating your own fleet , if you get tired of a vehicle or if you prefer another model , go to the blogs on mods5 or in lspdfr and download and install the vehicle that you are interested , or just change the textures , look for the cruiser with the lightbar you prefer , if you do not like the textures , you go to change the textures , the real problem is that , every 4 months about rockstar an update comes out , and brings us I mess up here , but the speed of the lspdfr developers , the changes of the rages and the various scripts react quickly to fix everything , the mods made here , to make the game more and more a simulator , is phenomenal , congratulations to you

I completely agree with this. I hear sometimes that "LSPDFR is boring". It is only boring if you don't explore beyond the box. There are so many new things to add to the game that it creates a diverse environment full of opportunities for the player to explore. And the speed with which the Devs of LSPDFR, SHV, and RPH complete the updates is extremely fast. Congrats to everyone that works to make this mod better every day.

Help us to help you!

Yep it's confirmed that we have a bug regarding the crime report system. It works on gta but on shooting or fighting it doesn't. Hopefully a fix will be available soon.

We try to keep LSPDFR as closely aligned to the original game (and its updates), so that people have the option to customize it and their games to their liking.  I understand that there's a lot of choice out there and perhaps it's not as easy as it should be to add in and remove other things like cars, but this is something we're trying to help with too by releasing the public beta of LML which we think will be a big help and make modding that much easier.

@Sam How do you disable the new holstering?

This could be pretty neat.

Either you, or an NPC officer could cuff them. Once you write up the arrest report (for me, I'm using ComputerLite) and maybe there could be an option after hitting E on the suspect, to have an officer or "your buddy" to grab the suspect and place them into the back of their car and take them away. But I feel like in my case, that'd be on more of BejoIjo's end with his ultimate backup or STP plugin to implement.

I'm kinda' sad that I don't get the new, cool animations of putting the suspect into the back of a cruiser when using STP, but again, that's on his end I believe. @BejoIjo

You could always go into the stp config theres a sentence where it says "You can control all peds arrested using vanilla LSPDFR arrest function with this plugin including disarming vanilla stop/interaction menu (yes/no)
TakeOverAllArrests=< Set this to no if you want to be able to use those arrests along with stp. Only thing is if you arrest with default lspdfr you get that context menu and not stp or vice versa 🙂

There's a setting for it, be sure to check the Wiki as we do we keep it updated with every release: https://www.lcpdfr.com/wiki/lspdfr/04/features/settings/

I suppose we could add this, one of the cool things about our work on 0.4 is that things like this can be shared between NPCs and the player quite easily, like the taking hold of suspects for example.  We wanted to see how it'd work first, but if people like it then we can definitely try it with NPCs too.  Same goes for the holstering animations and such.

I'm not sure what you mean, as other than writing reports it sounds like all of this is already in LSPDFR.  You can arrest someone, set them on the ground and call for a prisoner transport unit.  The transport unit will arrive and take hold of them and lead them away.  I don't think you should need to use any other plugins to detain people in your car.

Hi Sam, the new vehicle detention animation is very good addition to LSPDFR.

I've tried it. But, there's a major glitch which only happens when your police car is SUV type vehicle (e.g. FPIU or Tahoe)

The suspect animation is still played as it is entering a sedan type car, especially when you put them on the rear right seat.

It's not a glitch, it's just a limitation of the game.  The two animations we use were made by Rockstar for scripted sequences in two missions for the default police cruisers.  We cannot change this and there's only very little we can adjust without it looking even weirder.

"You tell me exactly what you want, and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be."

Sam I'm curious did you changed the amount of cops to be assigned to a pursuit by default as an ambient join from the previous version of LSPDFR? I recently had a pursuit on groove street and you know over there is always a police heli patroling and it didn't joined to help me even if the outgoing pursuit came right below him. I am fully aware of the variable settings but it's also too bad that I can change them only by commands and not by an ini file. You know, to be permanently available when starting the game. And also it will ve very appreciated a feature to allow us to change the visuals of the flashlight used in that animation, because it's the most inefficient light I've ever seen :)))

And also don't forget to take a look on the crime report system, sorry for repeating but I really use that feature a lot and I'd really like to have a fix soon. Thanks for understanding.

on reporting the crime , in shots fired , and I also believe in "obstruction", I also insist as the friend above , actually it is something that often happens , fortunately in the "grand theft auto" and "escape" it still works , it is just strange indeed , for now I get around the problem by calling the back up , and I wait for Ai , even if the suspect runs away and does not appear on the map
