I really have no clue what is wrong with that. Frozen peds appear when you have overloaded memory. It happens when too much objects are sitting in memory and game can't rid of them. For example road barriers that weren't deleted by script as they should. I wasn't expecting that kind of problems with road barriers. Also bait cars shouldn't crash it. Tom H used them online without problems :/

I don't have steam. My legit copies of games are for PS3 so I can't test online. I'll see if I can do something about those issues but I really have no idea what causes those problem :(

Send me your scripthookdotnet log after bait car crash in single player. That is serious issue and I might not be able to fix online problem I want to fix everything at least for single player. Give me also info what mods do you use and is it GTAIV or EFLC. Thank you for all your help.

For now I have some ideas how to fix that but without someone able to test "special" versions of mod online I can't do anything.

Damn, making scripts work online is hard.

I play online and would be willing to test for you, just tell me what ya need.

To be honest I have no idea as I don't know what exactly causes problems. Even bigger headache is fixing those as I have no experience in online scripting.

Main goal is to make PoliceHelper stable in single player. I'm a bit disappointed that there are so many bug reports . My priority for now is stop crashes caused by PoliceHelper. Not by fixing bugs (I will fix what I can reproduce from your reports), but by not letting errors to crash script/game.

Also I will add error logger. New features can wait. I have to make next version as stable as possible. Bait car crashed? So what? Game still works and PoliceHelper too, call for another one. Now bait car crashes and you are out of the game. That's unacceptable.

Remember, ALL mods have some problems in the beginning. I must say, after a couple of hours playing, I actually found it very stable for a first version. As you can also tell from people's reactions, overall it's a great mod!!!

It's not that bug reports annoy me. I'm glad that people care of this mod and send them. My code disappoints me ;)

@Abraxas, maybe to solve the aggresive roadblock officers would be to lower the accuracy so less of their shots are gonna kill the driver, but damage the car.

Good idea. If everything else will fail I'll try with that method.

Very nice. The road blocks don't really stop the flee'ing suspect for me though, he just smashes into them and breaks through.

Very nice mod (for a mod) lol though.

That's just the way GTA physics work. I use modded car deformation data and usually after one hit into road block they are unable to continue with massacred front.

And just like Tom H said. Concrete road blocks can end with pretty epic crash.

This log says nothing (no error message). It's really weird. I had no other reports like that. Does it crash whole game or only script? Does it happen with every car requested?

A majority of the time, it will crash me when requestiong a bait car or a cop car. Rarely does it acutally work.

You've got nothing to be disappointed about my man. You're really pushing the limits of possibilities with this game to new levels. Bugs are to be expected - ESPECIALLY given how poorly optimized the Rage engine was. It's a miracle that mods work at all...

I'd reckon a few of these bug reports are being caused by other mods being simultaneously installed, but what do I know?

Anyway thanks for answering, I didn't know the distance feature only came up during the hideout scenario.

Additionally, since I know you have a life outside of this and will be busy fixing bugs, I'd gladly help out with the creation and proofreading of texts involved with this mod (manuals/documentation and info texts in game). Send me a PM if you need a hand. :smile:

You didn't answer if it crashes the whole game or only script. If only script I would make some special test version for you. If it crashes game it is more serious problem and you will have to wait util I finish error log. Maybe it will help.

I'm aware that some mods may cause problem, but I still try to fix things when I can, and when I havve detailed report. For example just before release I've fixed conflict with one particular version of ELS. All thanks to user who provided great report. Some mods support just can't be done, like CriminalActs, which is cool mod but can cause problems with other mods, even with great LCPD:FR.

I'll PM you for sure. I'm really in need for someone to proofread my texts.

I have an issue with it crashing the whole game when I request the bait car. It seems to happen when I request my second bait car; the SHDN log is similar to Custo's.

Can you list your mods? Also do you request modded car ot standard? For now I have no idea what is going on, need more data. Oh and is it in Gta or EFLC?

Does.it crash just after you click request or other moment like cop leaving a car or sth?
