Whelen Edge Sheriff pack [WIP]

Featured Replies

I watched a few youtube videos and went to work. Special thanks to BlackJesus and Socal Thero for making informative videos on pretty much everything. Livery is not final and will change before release, It's just there as a placeholder, but here's some of what I have going on for literally my first two cars.. Criticism or advice welcomed.

I chose the Edge because not many models you find have them, and I thought it looked good on a Carolina trooper squad car I saw in live PD.

Both models are 2016 and using the Whelen Edge from the 1997 CVPI and ELS enabled. Exterior is almost finished, and is only missing the lightbar glass collision and rambar collision. The light strip along the top in the rear window is a traffic advisor and both cars have working takedown and scene lights.

Current issues - -

1..  No collisions on LB glass or rambar

Update: rambar collisions added. Lightbar glass collisions added on taurus. Tahoe's apparently won't take..

Current project plans - -

1.. Interior equipment (Laptop, transport cage, etc...) --- finished.

2.. A working spotlight --- getting that working is evading me...

3.. Trunk props. --- not started yet

4.. Started work on the Impala. Had a few issues actually getting textures fitted there, but should look very good.

Update 11/2: Taurus is done for all intents and purposes. Tahoe just requires some fine tuning.

Here is my opinions on this project:

1. I think the models are very nice and the skin is very cool.

2. The light bars look a little bulky, but that is just my taste in light bars.

3. I think the Tahoe would look good with either red and blue or just blue siderunners.

4. As for the slicktop, the charger would be your best bet.

Hope this feedback helps! 🙂

Thank you. I appreciate the feedback. I was actually thinking about a tri-color siderunner on the tahoe while I was at work... red, white and blue. Though thinking about the logistics on how it could work effectively is a little tricky.

I honestly think one or two colors is enough. While it sounds nice, it just is a little too complex and red and blue is the perfect balance.

The siderunners look really good! I also have a few improvement ideas as well:

1. The lightbar in the back window should be red and blue. (My opinion. I just don't like the utility lights.)
2. The lightbar in the back window also look kinda bulky but it also could be nice. I am still undecided on that.

Hope that helps! 🙂

These look good, I like that lightbar, theres just a couple things that kinda puts me off and that is the visor lights on the tahoe, the quarter glass lights are really small and high up not really effective kinda look out of place and on the Taurus it would be the plates that would be a deal breaker for me its kinda my pet peave IDK but I just wont use a pack that I cant make all plates match. Other than those gripes its a really good looking pack

The plates are something that I prefer to not have spawned by the game. So that was on my list but they are fixed now and show the plates on the skin. Surprised at how easy that was to fix...

I too was undecided on the visor lights as they're more for a slicktop design to begin with. But you're 100% right on the upper glass lights. Maybe moved to the rear door window and placed vertically, or onto the rambar.

Great, I cant wait for this to release now as long as you dont add 4 or 10 ALPR's like most people do this will be great

At most 2. (left - right) If anything they'll be toggleable extras

can you release with and without? Even the toggleable ones spawn when you haev a fleet and set as backup for AI

Good those things really destroy the looks of a vehicle in my opinion

And I'm going to call the handling line done. 0-60 is roughly 5.5-6.5 seconds, AWD with front bias just like the real thing. I put the top speed at 135 because more than that the game kinda breaks and does funny things with collisions

I love that undercover version. The lightbar is fairly modern and less bulky. And I think that is a lovely blend of blue/red and utility lights. Very good job!

Taurus is 95% done now. Interior equipment added. Missing a texture on the radar, rambar collisions aren't perfect, and siren glass collisions need to be done. Then waiting on the black/red patrol skins and that's it.

Tahoe needs the rear light adjustment to the ta/ red-blue setup and interior equipment still.

They'll most likely be mid week, won't be rushing this.

Hey could you add a slicktop Dodge Durango.

It's not likely that I'll ever do a Durango. Not a fan of them.
