  • I'm straight up depressed. It's been a really long week at work so far and it's just going to get longer. Just wanted to get in an hour of LSPDFR after work ended at 930PM. Even had some new textures

  • In addition to the above, it angers me that all these companies want to branch away from Steam and put games on their oh-so-"pretty" launcher.  First off, literally no one on Earth asked for or wanted

  • I'm with you.  A friend of mine, @Diamond Casino and Resort had  his PC trashed from this launcher.  I got GTA installed, but I'm dreading launching it.  If it works, that means I will spend the next

The whole point of getting this game was to use ELS and other plug ins. This sucks. I normally play this game everynight but I cant now. On top of that I got a new gaming laptop with a RTX 2070 and still only get 45 FPS when in other games I get over 120FPS

Spoiler

bro, if I have to be honest els is not essential, I always non-els, I modified the joypad by removing the top button and moving "J" from the keyboard to dpadup, using only 3 sounds for vehicle (originals of the california -modern siren pack-) and then "els style wig wag" replacing the carcols, for the rest I have more space and fewer commands in the keyboard, then the game is police not playing the sirens, also because in reality it is so, I have all the vehicles - els of Los Angeles who are wonderful and as a sheriff non-els spokene pack style, the day I tried to put els I was going crazy, like the first time I installed gtav / lspdfr copies, the plugins drives me crazy just "spootlight" , and the mod that plays the "beep" lights code 2: D "emergency light system" and drop the weapon I have other but less essential ect, at least I feel good like that, then everyone ... for the rest we hope they settle everything as it was before, the important things are callauts and the various albo or beloj mod, if they are prolonged after Monday I will try the solutions they mentioned earlier, good weekend guys, and hopefully good

I caved, guys. I couldn't take it anymore. I've done a clean install and vanilla GTAV and basic LSPDFR works fine. Now it's just the uphill task of getting my "world" back in order... vehicles, textures, uniforms, jurisdictions, sound effects, visual mods, meta edits, weapon models, visualsettings, plugins, and so on. No biggie.

I'm stuck as well.  I use ELS and textures but nothing else besides a call out mod (for police calls).  This sucks.  I've tried every work-around I've read the past week from launching the game first, then waiting on launching the new RPH to no avail.  I've updated my script hook but I think it was an older update, still nothing.  I've tried turning the LOAD AT STARTUP on/off, nothing!  The new RPH gets to the load screen then tries to load forever to no avail.

At this point I can wipe it/reinstall and play vanilla GTAV but what's the point in that.  I'm going to wait it out and see.

From someone that has played (and still does) Skyrim, I will saying modding for GTAV is pathetic.  Yes OpenIV helps but with Skyrim using Nexus Mod Manager is awesome.  You can easily track, turn on/off mods, delete/disable mods with a click of the mouse without having to delve into sub directories and hope you delete the correct .DLL file.

I Actually fixed mine and its playing the same way it always has. I am just waiting for scripthook V to be updated. the only thing I cant use is ELS

How did you fix yours?

Edited by EzraTank

with me it is working well, I don't have the second table of the RPH because I deleted scripthookV, I hope that after updating it again I would synchronize the time, it's just doing me every so often "memory error", before I didn't do it ! ( I dont use ELS , I am non-els )

Spoiler

When the Rockstar Games Launcher appeared earlier this week the Steam version of Grand Theft Auto 5 suddenly stopped being playable in offline mode. Rockstar were quick to announce that this was a bug, and they hadn't made any changes to GTA 5's DRM.

The bug has now been fixed, and there's a ticket for it on Rockstar's support site. Here's the full text of it.

Question: Why can’t I set GTAV for PC to Offline Mode now that I have updated to the Rockstar Games Launcher?

Answer: In order to Play GTAV in Offline Mode, players will need to:
Run the Rockstar Games Launcher and update it to the latest version
Sign in to the Rockstar Games Launcher
Update GTAV to the latest version
Launch GTAV via the Rockstar Games Launcher while online

Launch GTAV while online? then what is the point of offline mode if you have to be online 24/7?

Maybe some of us don't have a reliable net connection or don't want to have our games broken by updates.

Sorry complete noob to this stuff I will admit it. I was just getting the hang of installing mods with a stable lspdfr gameplay and this happened. So when you say TAB OUT does that literally mean hit the TAB key to get out of the game window then launch  through the ragplugin? I know I'm a noob.

Alt+Tab

I've patched everything I can.

The ScripthookV

LDPDFR

Rage Plugin

Verified game files via Steam

Nothing works!  The game sits at the RAGE Plugin screen loading forever with the background scenes flipping.  The RPI logs give me NOTHING!

I'm about to punt and reinstall the game from scratch.

Does your vanilla GTAV launch fine?

If it doesn't, then you might unfortunately have to have a clean installation. I had lots of problems with the latest GTAV updates because even though the files are verified, the latest patchday folder doesn't appear. Only managed to fix it with a clean installation.

If it does, try launching vanilla GTAV then only launch RPH once you see those loading background images. Hopefully this works.

Well this version of Rage Plugin Hook is more unstable than the previous version, up until now I haven't had any issues both with starting, playing, and exiting the game. Now with this version I'm crashing constantly on startup and when I go off-duty on LSPDFR.

Yeah that was toast as well.  I did a FULL uninstall/reinstall from STEAM then manually put everything back on.  This install was for my 14 year old son anyhow so I really didn't play the game that much, but installing all his patches the second time around was much easier since I kind of know where everything is located this time around.  I cleaned up a lot of old stuff that we installed but never ended up using.

Now I have a very clean install, patched to the latest, and it runs fine.  I added a bunch of new stuff he wanted as well like Police Radio, STOPTHEPED, etc ...

Now the game really rocks!  Once I got it stable I took a full backup of the GTAV directory to my NAS so I don't have to go through this again.

Now we only add one MOD at a time and backup the system before we do.  We keep all the MODS we installed ZIPPED in a subfolder so we can track them in case we want to uninstall them.  I must have cleaned up 100GB of space so all the work did pay off for something.

@Arin171 I've tried to launch RPH the way you say to launch it, but when I tab out I'm not able to move my mouse to my second screen and launch RPH.  I think what Rockstar is doing to the GTA V gaming community is they're forcing use to play online and stop use from using mods.  The launcher is by far the worst thing that Rockstar has done and it's no way to convince gamers to look forward to GTA VI.

Have you downloaded the newest version of LSPDFR, RPH, & SCRIPTHOOKV?

Howdy, check my profile for further information if wanted/needed.

Odd, after that you should just be able to load up rph and it should start through the launcher and therefore load lspdfr.
