I noticed more and more requests on how to fix the liveries on the newly introduced police vehicles. I wrote the FAQ on it and thought maybe it would be nice in the forums as well.
If it's not appreciated, I fully understand. 🙂

Now, let's get to it.

You may have noticed that replace vehicles for the latest police DLC vehicles look inverted, incorrect, total blackout or simply off.
With Patchday mp2023_02 and Patch2023_01 new police vehicles have been introduced to the game. Those vehicles have not only new sirenID and LightID’s, but also a different carvariations.meta.
 
Due to this difference, exchanging them with replacement vehicles can cause them to appear black or have messed up liveries.
The fix for this is rather simple. You can change the sirenID to their default values later on.
 
1. Locate the carvariations.meta for the new police vehicle.
For the police vehicles in Patch2023_01 you can find it in mp2023_02. (Do not replace vehicles in mp2023_02, only edit the carvariations.meta!)
For the police vehicles in Patch2024_01 you can find them in mp2024_01. (Do not replace vehicles in mp2024_01, only edit the carvariations.meta!)
 
2. Make sure Edit Mode is enabled in OpenIV. Right click the carvariations.meta in the given path and press Edit:
 
mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/DLC PACK OF THE VEHICLE/dlc.rpf/common/data
 

 
 
3. Highlight the police vehicle you want to edit. The entire section for a vehicle is referred to as a “slot”. This is what a slot looks like:
The end of the slot is usually identified by the  "“SirenSetting value=”1” ”

4. Once you have highlighted the slot, simply replace it with a vanilla template of a police vehicle by pasting it.
You can get those templates from other cars, or like in this case, from Albo1125’s MODDING DLC. 
 
Once you have replaced the text, press “SAVE” and you’re done.
 

 
 
I hope this helps those who replace the new DLC police vehicles.

Thank you so much for this! I tried every fix I could and none of them worked but this one. It does suck though that I can't use my main account for LSPDFR and have to switch back and forth when I want to play the game.

I've been trying to solve this exact issue for days now. I've read a lot of people are having the same issue. No one has the ultimate answer. The truth is that the launcher has broken this game for some of us and not much we can really do about it right now.
 
Seems to have gone bad for me right after the 1909 windows 10 update which doesn't surprise me because I had issue right after the last Microsoft major update but always seem able to fix it. You can't find any real specifics on "slow system or inefficient permissions" dealing with windows 10, or at least I haven't found anything on it exactly. 
How a game could work flawlessly for months on end and then one day suddenly not work at all is frustrating to say the least.

Hey there! I'm late to the party so I guess I don't have to explain what this here is.
I have a ton of projects to show. And I finally have enough time to actually release stuff for Gta 5.

The first one I want to show you is the CHP Crown Vic. 
 
Features:
- Forza Vic
- Accurate lighting
- The front and rear of the lightbar can be controlled independently, resulting in 9 different modes.
- Accurate Equipment
- Animated parts (antenna, keys, exhaust)
- Working wipers
- Reflective decals
- And a lot of useless little details no one will ever notice (blinking dashcam lights for example)

I assume what you mean is that you want this to appear?
 
If yes, just paste the link in the reply box normally, it will auto embed.  The "link" icon in the reply box is mainly if you want to display a plain text link without auto embed, or if you want it to be a clickable text link.
 

LSPDFR 4.3 update did the trick. Guess there was issues with 4.2 and ragehook so part of my problem might have been that. Running great now. Thanks again for your help. Once again I'm not disappointed with the quality of support put forth on this site.  

I got dark mode or Night Eye to work on this site. Looks beautiful, at least for me. My poor tired eyes it seems. Anyway, thanks for the help and I would love to see a dark theme or even some variation for theme in the future but at the same time is it really that big of a deal? Keep up the great work here. I have Night Eye with Microsoft Edge that works on most site but for some reason not on here. Not a big thing. I just happen to like dark mode and it's a little more pleasant on my eyes. Thanks for the reply's. 

I just got this error today. Installing Albo's Arrest Manager. I've manually updated the files in that mod and still get this error. 
I'm using LSPDFR 4.01 and have all updated mods etc for the game installed. 
 
Seems this issue is only related to lspdfr since there is no other solutions listed in google search for it except on this forum thread .
