EzraTank got a reaction from danksg in rockstar games launcherYeah that was toast as well. I did a FULL uninstall/reinstall from STEAM then manually put everything back on. This install was for my 14 year old son anyhow so I really didn't play the game that much, but installing all his patches the second time around was much easier since I kind of know where everything is located this time around. I cleaned up a lot of old stuff that we installed but never ended up using.
Now I have a very clean install, patched to the latest, and it runs fine. I added a bunch of new stuff he wanted as well like Police Radio, STOPTHEPED, etc ...
Now the game really rocks! Once I got it stable I took a full backup of the GTAV directory to my NAS so I don't have to go through this again.
Now we only add one MOD at a time and backup the system before we do. We keep all the MODS we installed ZIPPED in a subfolder so we can track them in case we want to uninstall them. I must have cleaned up 100GB of space so all the work did pay off for something.
