@Arin171 I have downloaded the newest version of LSPDFR, RPH and Scripthook V.

See my post.  You might have to do a full reinstall of everything.  Even with the newer stuff my game just would never launch.  After a wipe clean, reinstall everything works great now.

Trust me, do a full reinstall, put your mods back then take a copy of the game directory and back it up!

  • I'm straight up depressed. It's been a really long week at work so far and it's just going to get longer. Just wanted to get in an hour of LSPDFR after work ended at 930PM. Even had some new textures

  • In addition to the above, it angers me that all these companies want to branch away from Steam and put games on their oh-so-"pretty" launcher.  First off, literally no one on Earth asked for or wanted

  • I'm with you.  A friend of mine, @Diamond Casino and Resort had  his PC trashed from this launcher.  I got GTA installed, but I'm dreading launching it.  If it works, that means I will spend the next

Ok, so after 5 hours of infuriating trouble shooting I found the solution to my problem. My problem was that Rage Plugin Hook never "hooked" on to the game, and when it did it crashed. I found that the reason it did this was because i didn't use the original folder (the one created by Rockstar Game Launcher) I used a backup folder, so when I installed LSPDFR into the original folder it worked! So now I have a copy of vanilla GTAV instead of having an extra folder for LSPDFR.

I really hope this helps people in the same situation as me.

If they would really do that, Rockstar would get such bad backlash, just from the LSPDFR community alone.. I don´t think they´d get away with doing that all too easily

I think you forgot to quote the post you're replying to. 😛   'Cause I'm confused what you're referring to.

Does your vanilla GTAV launch fine?

If it doesn't, then you might unfortunately have to have a clean installation. I had lots of problems with the latest GTAV updates because even though the files are verified, the latest patchday folder doesn't appear. Only managed to fix it with a clean installation.

If it does, try launching vanilla GTAV then only launch RPH once you see those loading background images. Hopefully this works.

I've tryed that it doesnt work and my vannila gta works perfect

I was able to get GTA 5 running (with mods) and also start RPH but as soon as I load any plugins the game crashes (Freeze Screen).

I ran an outdated version of the game and also LSPDFR, RPH and so on. (It was stable before with no issues)

To start properly I use "No_GTAVLauncher.exe" and start RPH while ingame (And I have to be Online otherwise I cannot start the game).

Update of RPH won´t work because of the old game version which I have to use to run it stable with mods.

Someone has an idea to fix it?

I got it to work buddies (at least for me).

You have to download the "No-GTAVLauncher" (https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/no-gtavlauncher)

Start the game via this launcher, wait 1-2 seconds after the small window appears, then directly start the RPH, so both start directly in sequence.

This should do the trick. It starts in window mode but you can change this ingame back to Fullscreen. I recommend loading all plugins on startup.

Internet connection should be on.

Hope you guys can use it this way too.

@Arin171 Thanks for the update, i had the additional issue. launching via steam then the hook did not work. What worked for me is to launch via the rockstar launcher then the hook with success.

Wonder why Rockstar is pushing this launcher as it's clearly causing issues. hopefully lspdfr can create a fix for this (if it's actually possible) rather than the work around.

Thanks again for the help!

I cannot launch the hook with the launcher how did you do it

Thank goodness I found this.

I made a bat file for this:

@echo off

start "GTA V" "path to your GTA V installation\No_GTAVLauncher.exe"

timeout 5

start "RAGE" "path to your GTA V installation\RAGEPluginHook.exe"

The timeout is to allow for that pause so RAGE has something to hook into.  Hope it helps someone to bypass that annoying launcher demanding online, no idea if it works longer than before, but for me it works.  Thanks, @darkblue!

Seems RSG has fucked up again. The Launcher bypass worked fine an hour ago and now the game forces me to download the crappy launcher. Nothing works anymore....

I have no game access. Not vanilla, not modded, not bypassed, not online, not offline, simply nothing!! ....

Need to resort to your backup if you can't then it's one of though's things were you just need to wait for people to develop an update. In my option it's time for one some fixes and new options would be nice.

Looks like it. My backup didn´t work either. And my game hasn´t been updated for ages so an older game version should not be the issue. I think I just have to wait for a bypass update...

Wanna hear some crazy shit? Today I got it working. What I did? Don´t know exactly...
I downloaded the Launcher and reverted my Social Club Version back to 1.2.4.0
(and of course my game version to 10.000 BC)
Then started with NoGTAVLauncher with disconnected internet. Worked.
But I guess it´s only a matter of time until it asks for verification of the files again. I Think I got lucky today but tomorrow it will be fucked up again I guess....

Honestly usually steam version updates regardless if it's automatic or when or on start up and that's a rap but this time it reverted back without no gta launcher for me. And the crazy part scripthook scripthookdotnet and everything works just fine.

It seems that R* even bypasses previous versions stored by RPH now. One moment I was playing LSPDFR on a rolled back version of GTAV, next thing I know, the launcher is forcing me to update the game.

- Dank

I get the option to update the game when I try to use previous version of scripthook and when I use the new one it states that the version doesn't exist and won't let me continue further, reckons the new scripthook is incompatible with the new update.
