yes i understand waiting for updates and LSPDFR and Rage... But im getting "mixed singnals" here about this scripthook.

Whatever you installed it for.

How long does it usually take for a LSPDFR update??

Interesting that you now see how much people are using this, and i think that are 0.001% or so

What i do to prevent auto updates on steam is.. 

1) go to steam settings

2)click download tab

3)change auto downloads to a specific time of day. (it gives 1hr timelapse options only.

Ie:1pm-2pm etc) 

4)change the time to an hour that falls on the following day. 

 

If its 8pm when you start to play then set auto download for 7-8pm giving you 23hrs to return and change the time again for the following day.

I'll be doing this every day until all the plugins and hooks are updated. 

This is the only way I know how to prevent steam from auto updating games.

No its just in order to run rage as admin you need to have the latest update which isnt compatible with 1604, If you need help i know some seriously good tricks to boost your FPS while playing

If you have reverted GTA version 1604 via Rage Plugin Hook: GameBackups.rph file on hand...

and you run steam and have already disabled automatic updates

I also have only done this after an update has hit my GTA file and afterwards I will put Steam in offline mode. Might not affect anything I'm just paranoid from all these updates lol.

 

1. Go into your computer files C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V.

2. Make a copy of your Grand Theft Auto V folder and title it Grand Theft Auto V Copy or something to separate the files.

3. Paste your GameBackups.rph file into the Grand Theft Auto V Copy file.

4. Install the latest LSPDFR version (4.2.0) it comes with an already compatible version of RPH - into the Grand Theft Auto Copy file.

5. Go into the GTA Copy file and start Rage Plugin Hook, when it asks you if you want to update Rage say no and continue, also when it asks if you want to revert your game say yes. 

6. Go into the reverted GTA Copy file and copy and paste GTA5.exe over to the updated GTA version C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V.

7. Go into the reverted GTA Copy file and copy and paste GTAVLauncher.exe over to the updated GTA version C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V.

8. Go into the reverted GTA Copy file.

9. Open the folder titled update.

10. Copy update.rpf and open your main GTA folder.

11. Open the update folder and paste the file update.rpf

12. Install LSDPFR 4.2.0 in the main Grand Theft Auto folder (if you haven't already) 

13. Start rage plugin hook - the first time it loaded my game up it took 20 - 30 minutes of loading in the background but now it runs fine.

You need to have manually saved one back before the patch, If you didn't you just have to wait

TO though's new or confused. lspdfr by it's self just need to be updated Rph ect that  depends on  ragehook.  script hook is for other mods like trainers and other mods that require it. 

 

In the mean while try policing script along with other related mods there's other mods that require script hook so were not the only one's affected by the update.

Fun substitute grab police simulator on steam just a suggestion in the meanwhile. Also there's Fivem also.

Yea that be great thanks. 

I actually reverted back to the old version and followed what u said about replacing those 3 specific files from the old version to the new folder, ran the old version of rage  (on admin) and both versions are compatible with each other, but as it begins to load (after i get the message to unblock lspdfr plugin but before the gta loading screen comes on) i get a pop up from rockstar saying that gta5 has shut down unexpectedly. 

Any ideas what that's about? 

 

When we can play LSPDFR again will all the mods also need to be updated?

If they are dependant on RPH and or Scripthook they would have to be updated to work seamlessly. Although some mods might work.
