Open IV gave me a notification about something being outdated. I, being an idiot, decided to to press update without backing my game up. Rage now gives me this notification.

If you didn't back it up, you'll have to wait for the RPH update.

Thanks. Somehow I was able to revert back the the previous game version. Instead of having just the "OK" in the Unsupported Game Patch popup like pictured above, I had a "YES" or "NO" option. I clicked yes.. and it reverted the game back.

Is it possible for someone to drop their backup files for 1604 on google drive or dropbox so i can download it to try to fix my install? Or if someone can share a link where i can download the files? I downgraded too low from 1734 > 1290, Rage says i need 1604

Nobody would be able to provide those files as they are copyrighted by Rockstar. If they don't supply a downgrade option, you'll have to wait it out.

If you do have the backup RPH file how are you supposed to get past the GTA V 1604 launcher.

 

The new launcher works and I am able to start the base game without LSPDFR. However when Rage reverts the new patch GTA to 1604 the launcher wont let me get past.

Every time I run Rage Plugin Hook it starts loading up until it launches GTA via steam then it says waiting for game window, once GTA starts running from steam using the 1604 version of the launcher it comes up with this screenshot

Are you sure it would take only 2 weeks? Because they went from 1493 to 1604 before and it took half a year.

this sh*t happned to me as well when i tried so called revert to earlier version.i just deleted everyting and re-installed GTA5 and the base game works fine.

i guess will be back playing lspdfr in 4 months  for about 3 weeks by than GTA5 will have another DLC.

Yes the reversion tool broke in some manner after this update because it causes a crash immediately upon startup (most likely rockstar's fault as the tool has always worked flawlessly before). If you have a backup of your 1604 game you can just drag the update.rpf file from there into your reverted game and the crashing should be solved.

I saw an update when starting RageHook, thought it was the update for the new game... but it wasn't... now I can't play LSPDFR anymore. 😞

When does the ScrpitHookV and LSPDFR update come out?

it will take very long since you need all mods to play -> lspdfr(Very long) ragpluginhook(about 4 months) scripthookv(fast) -> but then you need to wait for the plugin developer to update their plugins.
