If all those vehicles are faulty mods that are high poly with no correct LODs, it's not surprising.

The only thing that would cause those effects in 0.3 would be faulty mods, and if I gotta be honest I would take 15 fps in 0.3 with all those bugs instead of all the texture loss in 0.4

I don't know...

Looking forward to LSPDFR plugin developers being able to use all the great new API enhancements in this update! This update will really open up a lot of new possibilities for callouts and plugins. Bi

I took a long break from GTA5, and returning to it.

Back in the days, I had a version which was quite bloody buggy, and I was wondering if this has been stabilized in the current version.

Also, I wonder, why can't we use one of the main characters from single player?

To have different cop characters just makes no sense.

And I would LOVE to play as Franklin!

He's just the type of guy to be(come) a cop, truthfully.

Furthermore:

Is there a SWAT/Spec Ops (Anti-Terrorism unit) fella?

Does this mod allow other cars?

Thank you.

As of LSPDFR 0.4, it has it's own character creation system to allow players to create their own personalised characters, which links up with the website to view stats. If you don't want to use one, just go on duty, create a character and then when on patrol, use a trainer to switch to an NPC ped, or one of the main characters (I believe this works, don't see why not).

There is a SWAT character, righly named 'SWAT' in the Enhanced Native Trainer, not sure as to the class name of it.

This mod doesn't change the vehicles in game, so any modded vehicle should be compatible with it.

You can play as one of the three main characters already if you so choose.

Yes, you can add/replace new vehicles.

I know it's a long stretch, but I think the biggest issue with LSPDFR is the overlapping of features and keybinds of various mods for it. How many police computer, traffic stop, ped handling do we need? It'd be really nice if LSPDFR could have a guide line to consolidate all the features to prevent the fragmentation.

What you need to remember is that LSPDFR is the framework that mods are placed into. In other words, when you download and install a mod that has conflicting keybinds with LSPDFR, that's not an LSPDFR issue. Further, it's not difficult to change the keybinds for either LSPDFR or a mod. If you need help getting your keybinds setup, post a help topic in the forums and ask. I'm running plenty of mods that had conflicting keybinds when I first downloaded them and now, after some manual tweaking, they're fine. I'm also a controller user so have also bound 90% of my mod's controls to it too.

Also, when you say about how many features do we need; this is down to the user. LSPDFR comes "as is". What you choose to add to it via mods and plugins is up to you and you alone. For example, LSPDFR includes a police computer. You may opt to download Computer+ which greatly expands on the police computer but it also lets you use the default version as well. Then, you might choose to download Interaction+. This has a lite computer system built in. If you're using both mods, you'll now have three police computers that are separate from each other. So, as you can see, LSPDFR only provides you with one such feature - the rest come from mods/plugins that you - the user - chooses to add.

Yeah I know LSPDFR is a framework. I think what I was asking is more of better communication and coordination with other mod authors. Not only it saves the resources and time because it avoids repetitive features/work, it also creates less confusion for the end users, and most importantly, it will greatly enhance the compatibility and stability of mods. You know, less conflict, more stability.

That being said, what's your controller setup? I use controller mostly and all those keybindings are too much of headache.

So what you actually mean is that you wish there was more communication between mod authors who have similar mods to avoid conflicts from happening rather than the LSPDFR team?

Playing GTAV on a controller is easy enough, but  with a heavily modified LSPDFR it becomes a chore unless you know what you're doing. To help combat this, I use 'Free Me!' #55 made for me by Narobic before he went AWOL. I also made further modifications to set #55 in order to remove the rest of the bits I didn't want. At the time, I didn't know how to do it but I've since learned 🙂

I use Xpadder with three different sets of button inputs (which activate with a modifier key) to control all my mods, including ELS (It's worth noting that I also use custom ini files so the below buttons may not make much sense to you).

I hold LB and press:
- B to change between lighting stage one, two and three,
- LS for the horn.
- DPadLeft for siren 3,
- DPadUp for siren 1,
- DPadRight for siren 4,
- Hold DPadDown to get the modifier siren (not really sure what it's called but the default key is T).

If I hold:
- DPadUp for half a second I can open/close PoliceSmartRadio,
- DPadDown for half a second I trigger the Cop Holster animation,
- Back and press DPadUp I use the 'LShift + Y' keys (this is useful for both Interaction+ and callouts that require you to press Y to further the conversation,
- Back and press DPadDown I use the 'LShift + T' keys (this is also used in Interaction+),
-LB and press RB I trigger ALPR Lite on/off. I sometimes switch these keys out for other functions as required (such as the 'G' key for use with K9 Partner).

Not sure if that helps at all?

*EDIT*

I've also changed the weapon flash light accessory from DPadRight to DPadUp to avoid conflicts with many mods that also utilize DPadRight.

Make sure your Firewall is allowing the required files to run. Sounds like you might have an exception issue.  If not, then check and make sure your machine has the proper RAM to operate the game. Just some possibilities. If you still have problems just ask the community. There's no shortage of experienced players here.

Learning the keybinds is like pulling teeth.

Or you could ask for help from the thousands of users who have installed LSPSFR correctly and enjoy playing it? Seriously, what are you expecting people to say? "Wow, I'm going to ignore the whole LSPDFR community now because a random user told me its trash!" Geez, grow up and move on. If LSPDFR isn't working for you, and you're not using any additional plugins, then you've installed it wrong - that's on you, not Sam and his team.

Im hyped up !! Will LSPDFR 0.4.2 have us the ability to issue parking tickets?

It already does. If you have Albo Traffic Policer, use control E while standing beside the driver window and it will work.

Hello All, I'm interested in doing stuff like this I was wondering if someone could steer me in the right direction thanks

I'm looking at getting into this, can anyone help

A very important thing that must be done is to simulate chase me feature if you got a wanted level while off duty. I sometimes push away some officers laying around the station to get inside and go on duty and they got mad and react exactly like in the original game, shooting at you till you're dead. There will be no time to raise your badge and to lose wanted level at this case, so we will need some AI improvements for that.

The second thing that I'd like to see is to be able to write citation for at least some traffic ofences. I'm talking about only LSPDFR with no scripts added. There is always a way to solve some issues with plugins, but why to have unfinished things in the mod itself? Why the results of a police computer will show us the insurance and the registration of a vehicle if we don't know how to proceed with the citation? Some simple ofences needs to be added to the citation system, as well as a coroner and a tow truck. Those 2 features seems like too much for the mod? No if they're done in a simple way. Call a tow truck and a notification will appear showing us something like '' tow truck will arrive shortly'' and after you got a certain distance from the vehicle the game will despawn it. Same with the coroner, the game will despawn the dead peds when they're off sight.

The main thing that I'm trying to say here is the ability to play the clean LSPDFR without missing things. @Sam I hope you understand the importance of those things to be added in the future versions. Thanks.
