  • I've been working with @zombieguy over the past few days to try to narrow down the issue as it seems to only happen for a very limited number of people, but on very different systems (so not necessari

  • Well..without LSPDFR I get 25/30 fps, With LSPDFR I get between 5 and 10 xD  But my pc is a potato : AMD A8-7410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics  2.20Gh up to 2.6Ghz    8GB DDR3  😂

  • yes we shouldnt have to disable cool features like that so hopefully they will release a small update to fix some of these issues

I also noticed some FPS drops while playing even when just driving around with not active callout. Some severe FPS drops happen in pursuits or when AI officers arrest a suspect.

I have a i7-8700 and 12 GB Ram so this should not be the problem...

Unfortunately I am not exactly sure what could cause it on your end, you should definitely have much better performance even with many units (https://youtu.be/4ZswFgOkeL0?t=9290 is a good example with like 20+ units). Since you've disabled a lot of subsystems and still seem to have issues, can you please try the following things for me:

When driving around and encountering the FPS drops, can you make the camera look at your vehicle from a bird's eye perspective? Does your FPS increase significantly or only slightly? Please do the same during a chase as well.

Next when in-game (make sure it is windowed or windowed borderless) open the console and type in "IsDeveloperModeEnabled true". This will create a small V icon in your windows tray bar. Right click this icon and set the logging verbosity to "None". Now disable developer mode by typing in IsDeveloperModeEnabled false. Please let me know if this helps with performance at all (it will minimize the disk hit for logging).

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

I'm here to report the same issue. Performance is not typical for my PC with 0.4.
I'm running a
i7-3770K @ 3.5 Ghz
GTX 1080 8GB
16GB DDR3 RAM

GTA standalone is running at 60-120 fps
LSPD 0.4 (without Plugins) runs at below 40 and stutters when driving fast
LSPD 0.4 with Plugins runs even worse. Still playable though.. until it crashes.

Very weird to me since I didn't have these issues with 0.3 if I remember right.

Thanks for reporting, could you please test what I said here: https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/89730-performance-issues/?do=findComment&comment=579930 and here https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/89730-performance-issues/?do=findComment&comment=580378 (if the first one does not help). Thanks.

thank you again for this really fantastic news !! What I like, too, is that the police are much smarter and that at times when they activate the deadly force they shoot directly at the criminal and stop shooting when he  returns to the police !! on the other hand I can not  define the patrols (on foot or by vehicle)? For example, I would like to add a strong police presence in areas such as Davis or Grove Street? @ LMS

Think I finally got it! Had to delete the “police scanner” folder that I still had. Running a lot better now lol.

Could it be that the issue is audio related? I definitely have no old folder in my installation though, it's new and clean. Added some callout packs today though.

I'm not sure how to do that. Do I need to put them into the RHP console and then how do I reload what scripts?

EDIT: I just tested with an fps counter. When I start the game with LSPD at the airport I get 45-53 fps. When I call for some backup it drops down below 40. When I call for a lot of backup it drops below 30 as worse as 24 fps sometimes. I don't know if thats normal. Could be that my whole system has performance issues 😞

@Sam   With logging off I didn't really notice any difference and looking down during massive lag spikes gained very little FPS. The only thing to get the fps back to near normal is to clean the world. If I was to take a guess at this stage at what is causing the lag it would be something to do with the AI or reading data from them, again I'm not fully sure what the biggest contender is.

The options in the first post go into the lspdfr.ini, they are to disable some stuff to test performance. Do that before you start the game.

In the second post, yes, you need to type it in the console, then follow the instructions.

I am not sure either, but it's interesting that it is related to cleaning the world. Could you try and maybe just delete peds and then just delete vehicles and see which one has the biggest effect?

Cleaning cars give a massive boost, peds give a small boost and persistent entities do next to nothing.

Found a fix to the performance issue as in FPS drops. I had massive stuttering / FPS drops.

Step 1 Go to your GTA V folder -> LSPDFR -> Police Scanner.

Step 2 Move all the files within this folder to GTA V -> LSPDFR -> Audio -> Scanner

Step 3 Go back to GTA V folder -> LSPDFR, delete Police Scanner folder.

I do not know how this folder can harm the performance so badly, but luckily that's the fix. 🙂 Hope it will work for you all as well 🙂

I'm guessing you installed 0.4 over top of 0.3? Because my install no longer has the police scanner folder, I think they changed the location for 0.4 so if you just install over your last install it would have kept the files/folders with different names from the new install.

I have tried UltimateBackup v1.4.4.0 (LSPDFR v0.4) that uses the generic police models when you call a backup and do not lower the FPS. So I confirm that it is the custom models of policemen that create the FPS down to 45. I ask for an option to be able to choose LSPDFR v0.4 to use the default models of the police.

Thanks for your work

That's only when you install 0.4 over 0.3 because I don't have the Policer Scanner folder.

If you edit the ped lines in the agency.xml, you can change the LSPD to use the default models.

I will try this now and report my performance.

EDIT: Okay no involves coding, I have no clue. I think I'm entirely unhelpful with this investigation...

EDIT2: Okay I just put the commands SAM told us into the .ini and it didn't change anything for me.

Done.

DID NOT give my any improvements 😞

When I deactivate the Extra Graphic Options it's getting 50 to 60 fps. But without the mod I can play with these options just fine above 60.

How is it even possible that only some few people have this problem.

I'm guessing people not affected by the performance issues have GPU bottlenecked systems and will, therefore, notice less of a hit. I overclocked both my CPU and RAM and have noticed a decent boost (nothing amazing), but, stuttering is more apparent.
