@Sam @LMS Excuse my bombing the old thread, but I've discovered that while using LSPDFR, the GPU usage drop significantly causing major FPS drop.

I don't know that you've known about this or not:

Thanks.

Not necessarily, but LSPDFR definitely increases CPU usage. There are various options available in the settings to tweak it if needed.

  • I've been working with @zombieguy over the past few days to try to narrow down the issue as it seems to only happen for a very limited number of people, but on very different systems (so not necessari

No, but for me both CPU and GPU usage drop to around 50% after i go on duty, and increased back up to 90% when the plugin crashed. (see screenshot)

Interesting, do you see any increased harddisk or memory activity?

Any solutions? FPS drops dramatically while on duty. Is problem in anti-modding feature in GTA V ?

This has definitely had an effect on modding performance since the game originally came out, but switching back to previous LSPDFR versions still gains me a bit of FPS compared to more recent releases, other than single core performance which still gets hammered as soon as rage plugin hook is active and even more so when LSPDFR is active, it has been hard to pinpoint what exactly causes the drops.

So since there seem to be no fix coming at all at least anytime in the near future , any way to download old LSPDFR versions that are stable and a few plugins that are also still usable on old versions ? I bought GTA V only for LSPDFR so this is really disappointing

Agreed. I did the same thing, only bought the game for lspdfr. And its disappointing when i get massive performance loss. Although for me it doesn't seem to be lspdfr as such, as soon as any mod is added (Such as one from albo) i lose about 10-20 frames.

My only fix to this is to not patrol in the city. So I only play as BCSO and SAHP. I only patrol in areas like Grapeseed, Harmony, Paleto Bay, Sandy Shores and the highways outside of the city. As when I patrol in the city the fame drop once on duty is horrendous and I cant patrol more then ten minutes with out CTD.

Also I found if you have issues with textures not loading or loading in at extremely low resolution for a moment One add this line to your lspdfr.ini or change it to false (it should already be there).

Main.PreloadAllModels = false

Then I found that if you play in Windowed Borderless switching to Windowed for a few seconds then back to Windowed Borderless normally fixes the issue for at least a while.

My Specs just to prove I'm not on a potato.

Intel Core i7 7700 @ 3.60GHz

64GB DDR4 @ 2400MHz

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti

P.S.

Adding these lines to your lspdfr.ini do (at least for me) make a difference. Granted for me I still CTD in the city when on duty but things are a lot smoother.

Networking.DisableServerCommunication = True
Networking.DisableDiscordRichPresence = True
Main.DisableAmbientScriptHooks = True
AmbientSpawn.MaxCopsInArea = 0
WorldEvents.IntervalMultiplier = 0.0f
Ambient.DisableAmbientGameCopSpawnBlock = false
AmbientSpawn.MaxCopsInArea = 0
