The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

A list of what works and what doesn't with LSPDFR 0.4. Feel free to add.

We need to be careful though - just one person saying 'I can confirm...'  doesn't mean they spent more than a minute or two playing with the mod.  Just because lspdfr loaded with the mod doesn't mean 10-15 minutes in it won't crash - we're not all testers.  Let's be careful!

I think in order to say something works, you should have to be able to spend at least 20 minutes crash free.  Also, any update on police radio?

  • Just wanted to drop by and say thank you @Will Zoftrak for taking the initiative to make a list like this, and to keep it up to date.  Really cool of you, and a great example for the rest of the commu

Unfortunately I don't have the time to thoroughly test every plugin for 30 minutes without fail. If I see a couple people say something works, I'll do my best to throw it in my game and go on duty. If I don't experience a crash immediately or within a couple minutes, I chalk it up to working.

I've learned that LSPDFR is kinda finicky in the sense that a combination of mods that work for some people, won't necessarily work for someone else. Biggest case in point; ELS. If there is another way to validate compatibility then I'm all for it, but testing everything individually for 30 minutes before adding to the list just isn't feasible for me.

Of course I never mentioned 30 minutes - but have to remember a lot of people reading this will take that list in the first post as total confirmation that it works. regardless of cautions that might disclaim it.    I , as others are very anxious to see things like arrest manager/traffic policer be brought to 0.4 but for instance I'm getting nasty freakouts with stop the ped right now.

I know you didn't mention 30 minutes specifically, but everybody will have a different opinion of what LSPDFR stress testing is. As far as people just taking the list at face value and throwing everything in at once or not yielding the disclaimer; you can't help ignorance. I hate to sound so harsh, but the warnings and disclaimers are there for a reason. People failing to understand how to mod LSPDFR will always be a thing and there is no list or post I can make to fix that.

I find it to be easiest to install something, test it, then install something else so when something doesn't work, it helps narrow it down.

Exactly. And that's what I always advise personally. Because when you install even two things at once, while easy to just remove one at that point, it does make it more tedious than it has to be.

I used to be the guy installing tons of stuff at once. I learned real quick that wasn't ideal. Lol

What was the court mod, I would love doing a shift then coming in the next day and seeing what had happened to all the people I had arrested the day before?

Do we have any update on the radio or traffic policer?

That's what I'm trying to keep from doing lol.   I see benzo and Jeff with their full-featured setups and want to have it that way.    I enjoy watching those vids as much as playing it sometimes.

Anyway, I think the thread is great don't get me wrong on that aspect.  I am so tempted to add all those but know more isn't always better and not all of them are going to play well with each other.

at any rate, thanks to those who are contributing and  'lets be careful out there' lol

I had to reinstall GTA a couple of times, I learned quickly to 1, on a fresh install zip it somewhere if you have space. 2. Install mods one by one, I am finding EUP Law And Order is causing my game to corrupt right now.

Albo's plugins are still broken as far as 0.4 goes. 😞

I know its a bummer! Traffic policer and Police Radio are by far my 2 most used plugins.. and its amazing how much of a difference they make in using lspdfr. Really looking forward to an update for them!

Fortunately the meat and potatoes of features that Police SmartRadio made accessible are still available in 0.4, they're just a little more difficult to get to.

So do you know how to get tow trucks and the like?

Stop The Ped, "G" on keyboard. 🙂

I don't know why, but stop the ped likes to be picky about when it wants to work. Sometimes it loads the default interactions menu, sometimes stop the ped. Is there a specific condition that needs to be met that I'm missing?

I believe you're referring to LSPDFR+ . Which I've been told is in the process of being updated.

Stop The Ped is working for tow trucks, or just calling the insurance company if its a vehicle collision.

Also, a small help for controller users. This mod can stop you from accidentally hitting or killing your suspect when trying to back out menus with B or O on whatever controller you're using.   I can say this mod is working, i've been playing with it for at least 2 hours.
