Thank you for this list, I think it'll finally make the charger I added in-game drive and feel right now.

@Reddington What would you recommend for for @BlueGhost Chrysler 300 SRT8? He has it to replace police2 which is the charger. But I feel that it is a heavier car and should maybe be different. What are your thoughts?

To my knowledge, there is not a Chrysler variant in GTA V, meaning we just need to pick whatever vehicle is closest to it in terms of looks.  I have yet to install it, so I'm not sure what works best for it.  However, since you want it to feel like a heavier car, I recommend the fugitive handling for the time being.

 

I personally recommend to use Radius handling for explorer 2014. It feels much better and behaves more realistic. But for explorer 2016 gresley remains best option.

I crash whenever I edit the handling lines and load back into the game, is it just me or am I doing somthing wrong? All the other handling ID's are in caps do I need mine to be in caps?

No, caps doesn't matter.  Double check you're typing the name correctly. 🙂

Make sure you are changing the handling ID and not the entire handling line since it can achieve the same thing as doing such, as for changing handling lines you should be fine unless you get the error message.

After trying thing after thing when I edit the vehicle.meta it wont work, I go to mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/levels/gta5 right? Thats what I try to edit and if I change anything the game crashes on start, Anything that you would know that can fix this?

What are you using to edit the files? I recommend Notepad++, but anything similar [e.g. Atom]  will work. You shouldn't be using Notepad or Word to edit any of the files. Also, make sure you are  not accidentally removing any of of the opening or closing tags.

 

 

Hey @Reddington, the ford expedition from this pack seems to not work with the "fbi2" handling ID:

I've tried ones like "baller" "gresley" and "baller2" but nothing feels good. If you could look into it that would be great

thank you so much for this. i've had to deal with a lot of trial and error with GTA mods, but following your guides have given me the smooth sailing. people just read carefully, watch how you edit your files, take your time and always back your stuff up !! appreciate you Red. big fan of Blacklist as well fyi haha

Updating since I figured it out

For the 2020 Silverado, I suggest using the Sadler handling ID

While I appreciate the Explorer not flipping over by using 'gresley' handing, I find the Gresley handing too slow for policing, even with fully upgraded speed modifications in the garage. Sports cars will always outrun me. In real life, the police Explorer is supposed to be as fast as the police Taurus. Is there a fast car I can use as the handing id that would make the Explorer not flip over? Thank you.
