The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Buying V Today...JUST for LSPDFR

Banged out the story on a friends Xbox years ago, and have been playing IV and LCPDFR for ages. Have been waiting for the right time to migrate over to the new game and today is the day. My aim is to play LSPDFR with a hardcore/realistic angle. Does LSPDFR have a hardcore mode like LCPDFR?. If not what kind of modifications can i get for increased difficulty. Such as bullet impact euphoria and reduced health/armor and or increased damage taken from ped weapons. Aiming for immersion and realism while hopefully not CTD'ing every hour. I have a folder with 30+ Script Mods and intent to do vehicle and weapon modifications as i see fit, however the big thing for me is having it be challenging. I want to croak as fast as the peds do. Any script/mod recommendations for a new LSPDFR Player?. Also is there any modifications that change the frisk results , as to make some of the objects found not so over the top/goofy.

Thanks for the links, i have those added to my folder now. However i have noticed RAGE plugin Hooks site is down and the Scripthook V is still pending update. I have my prepaid card in-front of me but want to assure i can play LSPDFR before my purchase. The site will return to functionality and the Scripthook V will be updated correct?. I waited some years to migrate to V from IV and it looks like i picked a sketchy time. There is no way to get the mod functional as of now, without the updated scripthook and active RAGE plugin site, right?..-..i hope. Would be a damn shame for TakeTwo and Rockstars online content crap to snuff out LSPDFR this early. Hoping to eventually see 1.0 release :).

RageHook's website is due to be up some time tomorrow according to a developer in the Discord. Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything about ScriptHook.

Thanks for the information, however its safe to assume ScriptHook is admits finishing/releasing an update still however?.

The team behind RAGEHook has already released the update, so we know for sure that it works on the latest patch. Alex, the developer for ScriptHookV, hasn't made any mention of an update for the next patch, and the thread on GTAForums is currently locked (which happens when the game is updated but ScriptHook isn't). So, unless the ScriptHook update comes out or Alex makes some kind of mention about it, I don't think it's safe to assume that it will be updated. However, based on how often it has been updated in the past, it's likely.

 

You don't need ScriptHook to play LSPDFR, though, you just need RAGEHook. ScriptHook is used mostly for trainers or small gameplay scripts, which depending on how you want to play may or may not be necessary.

Callouts for LSPDFR target RAGE Plugin Hook since LSPDFR runs on it. This should be true for (almost) all mods from the LSPDFR ecosystem. More general script modifications may use SHV, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. Either Alex will update it soon or if not, I guess there will be a third-party patch with the updated natives eventually.

Awesome, i am just starting to get going today. Loving it so far but have so many mods/scripts for LSPDFR i don't know where to start or cannot keep track of all of the bindings, lol. I heard there was controller support and i see a lot of people in videos using Xbox controllers...-...But all i have is a PS4. Can i use a PS4 Controller to play LSPDFR and are all the required keys bindable with that few buttons?. Or is it best just to stick to mouse and keyboard.

I recommend you try DS4Windows, also have a look at:

This will greatly help. I recommend, mouse and keyboard, more versatile, you'll get a hang of the bindings and better for shooting. Driving is fine for me, aircraft is a pain in the arse but I doubt you'll do much flying, it all comes down to personal preference anyway.

Sorry for double post but don't want to make another thread .Finding LSPDFR too easy right now, i have bullet impact euphoria and deadly headshots but my firefights are still rather lax even with multiple suspects. Really looking to challenge myself with a hardcore mode similiar to LCPDFR's. Is there anyway to do this aside from just lowering my health values?.

Well, try not calling too much backup when engaging in a firefight, only use a pistol and a use a rifle when you are engaging in large shootouts, not really much you can do, maybe try limiting your resources. Most people don't play LSPDFR for shootouts but rather for realism. Oh, also you can find in NaturalVision Remastered's optional folder (if you install it) an option to hide weapon reticle and damage overlay. A great mod I recommend, you should try it. You can just use the optional and that might make your firefights more unpredictable.

Oh wow i have NVR and did not even realize it had that option. Going to the configuration file right now. A combination of IV's Euphoria Engine , Bullet Impact Euphoria , Deadly Headshots and no resticle/damage overlay is going to be my own personal hardcore mode i guess. There was just something so realistically scary about LCPDFR when you approach a window and get one shot in the face from the driver and die instantly and he drives off. Just not that kind of tension with my current traffic stops.

Looking for more ballistic and weapon realism than gore, like i intent to remove the stream/trail behind the bullets next. Good links though as usual Ranger!, appreciate it man!.

  1. - Peds can now suffer 2 different types of seizures due to head trauma using the included meleeseizure.cs scripts-- your stereotypical convulsions may occur as well as stiffened fencing pose concussions (look it up)
  2.  
  3. - Health/armor has been revamped using the included InjuredMovement.dll script by yoits3030 - armor now acts more as a regenerative pain-threshold your character can build in cover until it runs out from taking damage and his precious green health bar is shown - when you armor runs out, your character will stagger and limp about in a punch-drunk like manner (but still be fully capable of using all of their weaponry, driving, fighting, etc) until he waits long enough in cover for his head to clear and he can move properly again: about 4 seconds of regen time. Check yoits3030's actual mod page or read the included documentation for a proper write-up
  4.  
  5. - Most bullets in real life pass through you like butter, not hit you with the force of a NFL linebacker - bullet force has been severely reduced on all non-DLC weaponry for a more realistic gunshot reaction from peds instead of throwing them back 1000 feet from even a .22 shot like default - this provides a much more cinematic (and horrifying) killing experience and you will certainly notice the difference between the weapon edits included and the DLC weaponry not included (for sake of easy install)
  6.  
  7. - Peds killed while they're driving no longer spin out of control in seconds in unrealistic perfect U-turn circles - their swerve angles have been adjusted to go much more straight for more-realistic deaths behind the wheel - light up some cars on the highway and see for yourself
  1. - Light recoil has been applied to all non-DLC weaponry to give them all more of a kick - don't shoot like a moron and you'll be fine
  2.  
  3. - Weaponry now penetrates many more physical materials based loosely off real world physics calculations - bullets tear through people like a hot knife through butter; many different metal and wood materials stand even less of a chance
  4.  
  5. - The Heavy Sniper is no longer bitchmade and kills just about everything (including armored cops) in 1 shot like it should
  6.  
  7. - Most weapons (except snipers) now use visible tracer rounds
  8.  
  9. - Most weapons produce cinematic gun smoke and smoke trails from excessive firing
