Still getting 40 fps on high-end PC

Featured Replies

So I have a pretty good PC that has no problem running stuff under normal circumstances: i5 6500k OC'd to 4.5ghz, GTX 1080, 16GB RAM yet whenever I run LSPDFR I never seem to get anywhere above 40-45 FPS. So far I've deleted some callout plugins I didn't need, set the game to run at 60hz, updated everything (RPH, plugins etc), set priority in Task Manager but no matter what I do it always seems to stay the same regardless.

These are the plugins I have running:

  • Traffic Control
  • Entity Persistence (with the .ini configured with performance in mind)
  • ALPR+
  • Arrest Manager
  • Assorted Callouts
  • BetterEMS
  • Callout Manager
  • Code 3 Callouts
  • Computer+
  • Custom Backup
  • ID Dead Peds
  • LSPDFR+
  • Police Search
  • Police Smart Radio
  • Traffic Policer

As well as my other mods:

  • Custom DLC (about 5 addon cars installed)
  • Advanced Gravity Gun
  • Player Location Display

Anything else I can do to achieve 60fps? Would overclocking my RAM or GPU help perhaps? I used to think it was just multiple .dll's running that made the game slow as a virtue but now I don't understand why it struggles. I don't even have any ENBs or graphic mods installed.

Dude you do realize you re getting more than what is supposed to right? Some people can only dream about playing with all those pluggins at 40 FPS. Your system is the same as mine except for 6700K OC and 32 GB of ram. Also getting 40 FPS. LSPDFR is not a native program therefore it isnt optimized to perfection.

Even if you install VisualV or something you will remain in those 40 dont worry. As long your GPU allows that cushion and dont overload it with entities, you re fine. LSPDFR alone cuts down 10 FPS without pluggins... not worth sacrificing pluggins for 10 FPS...

What? You think 40 FPS is unplayable?

Sorry, I guess I'm just used to playing games at 60+ or above. I don't play that many triple-A titles anyway. It's not so bad being a deputy sheriff by day or a police officer by night but I get about 30 FPS vice versa. I was just making sure it was an issue with LSPDFR's optimisation and not any of our systems. Easy to think that it should run as well as vanilla GTA V does on high-end systems and even less for that matter.

Although there are some people who seem to get 60 fps with a similar amount of plugins - this guy has the same GPU and RAM as me for example, although he does have a 7700k compared to my 6600k.
