Will Rockstar Ever Buy LSPDFR And Incorporate it?

It seems silly for Rockstar to continue to ignore this massive part of the game created by fans. Has anyone from the LSPDFR community asked if Rockstar would incorporate the mod into the oficial game for stability? Do they even know LSPDR exists?

Why would they do that?

the closest thing Rockstar has done to anything police related is LA Noire, the market for police games aren't that big. LA Noire was successful because of the setting and how it was unique. If it was a regular police simulator like LSPDFR then not many people would buy it.

and the fact if they did buy LSPDFR, it would be fully restricted and be a giant failure. Besides things work best when the modding community does it, when a game developer does it.. it goes bad.

the main reason why games stay alive is because of the modding community, if it wasn't for modders games like Fallout, GTA SA etc. would be dead by now

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

That also includes multiple downloads for new versions. So its not a million people.

Aside from what Couthink mentioned, again, Rockstar would completely ruin LSPDFR.  They aren't in this for the community, they're in it for money.  Notice how they milk the hell out of GTA Online DLC?  Notice how they refuse to move on from GTA Online?  They are going to milk GTA Online all the way to GTA VIIIIII or as long as they possibly can.  You think when GTA 6 comes out they're going to abandoned GTA Online? Ha, no.  They will continue giving updates for it for a little while, then start the same milking process all over again with GTA Online for GTA 6.

To summarize, Rockstar getting their greasy hands on LSPDFR would kill it and the modding community.  I promise you Rockstar would eventually turn free mods from this site into paid mods.   "Pay $20 to get the NYPD pack"

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

That game is probably a scam.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

What makes you say that?

Probably the fact that it has been in development for forever and there hasn't been any in-game footage except for the developer diaries, which doesn't count because it's footage inside a program, not the actual game.  They've racked up a lot of donations and nothing to show for it.

It is a fair point.  I have never developed a game so I have no idea whether it's reasonable or not.  I assume most games develop until they have in-game footage to show and you don't hear about or see them until that point, whereas (I am not saying this is the case, just playing Devil's Advocate) with this game, they announced it shortly after the conception of the idea, hence the seemingly drawn-out development time.
