LAPD Cadets Scandal

Recommended Posts

So my deparment is going threw a shit pile at the moment. for the people who dont know whats going on here in Los Angeles.  June 15, 3 Cadets from the LAPD were involved in a pursuit of 2 stolen FPIU. They both crashed and the 3 were arrested . They were from the 77th and pacific Divisons. they were charged and the deparment suspended the programs at those stations. 4 more cadets were later arrested for being onvolved. They manged to pull this off by signing off the patrol cars by using an officers name who was on vacation.  they even took a third FPIU and may have impersonated as sworn officers. and it gets worse when a 10 year veteran of the LAPD was arrested for sleeping with one of the cadets who was 15. all the links below expalin the who problem. jeez

Im a cadet too, my station Rampart has been changing dramatically with the rules and such. We actually had an emergency meeting because of 77th division and Pacific. But its just now im hearing about the alleged sex scandal with the officer.

If even the cadets start acting like thugs and robbing their own department, no wonder the police reputation is going downhill. They're a shame to their profession. Or well, ex-future profession.

Well, small correction. Police support has actually been increasing.

I can't say I agree with that. Even when police in the past were far more aggressive and in many cases corrupt, public support was higher.

Of course if you could point to some evidence I'd reconsider my hypothesis.
