    Officer David Fahey Jr was a 2 year Veteran of the Cleveland Police Department as well as a US Navy Veteran.
     
    He was helping control the flow of traffic ahead of a highway accident setting up flares to have drivers merge into certain lanes, A car hit Fahey and skipped away from the accident, Fahey was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
     
    The Suspect was apprehended later in the day in an adjacent county, Officer Fahey's handcuffs were on hand and slapped on the suspects wrists.
     
    His funeral was held this weekend on Saturday January 28 and he is now at his final resting place.
     
    More than 200 Law Enforcement agencies were in attendance as well as at least 100 out of town Police vehicles, Most of the Cleveland Police First District was in attendance, There were 2 processions that toured through several jurisdictions from funeral home to church to resting place. Residents of their respective jurisdictions lined the streets to pay their respects along the way While fire departments along the way helped control traffic as their officers paid their respect as well.
