GTA Ran out of memory

Featured Replies

Hey there,

Thanks for clicking my post. I've bought GTA 5 last week. I was playing it the entire day without problems. Now after a week I start up steam again and I had to download a GTA 5 'update' that was 70 MB sized. Since I downloaded that everytime when I try to launch gta through RageHookPlugin or through steam I get this error "GTA ran out of memory". I've tried literally everything, removed my mods folder, removed my plugins folder. I keep getting the same error.

So I was hoping someone here could help me fix this problem. I've spent multiple hours googling my error and watching videos, but none of that could help me fix it.

Kind regards,

Excill

Hi,   Try to delete your settings.    Go to --> My documents --> Rockstar Games --> GTA V And delete settings.xml.  I hope that this is going to fix your problem

Have you tried verifying the game cache through steam? Maybe something went wrong during the update. That shoud fix any damaged game files.

Sorry the late reaction. I've just tried this, didn't fix the problem. Thanks anyways!

Hmm, then I guess you could try a complete reinstall as the next option, though depending on your internet connection, that's gonna take a while.
Are you sure you unistalled every mod? Try removing the scripthook files as well. Not that I really think that would help though... Sorry.

Maybe other forums user can help me. If they can't help me I'll reinstall.

I still need help, I've reinstalled the game. Didn't install any mods, launched the game vanilla, still got the same error. I've also added Virtual RAM memory, still doesn't work.

both LSPDFR and GTAV say this? where when is this error appearing? can u screenshot it please what it looks like.

VERIFY STEAM GTAV INSTALL:  Open Steam, right click on GTAV in column on the left, click Properties, on the LOCAL FILES Tab, click VERIFY files. and wait. if found it will automatically fix them. takes a little time-

Wow, I forgot about this thread. It still doesn't work btw :P If I click launch on GTA through steam I'll get it right away http://prntscr.com/eid4iq and http://prntscr.com/eid4wl . Usually I get it in the screen with the emergency lights but now it is right when I start the game. I've tried verifying, reinstalling and rebooting my PC.

Bumping your post will not help. It will deter people who will think there is no solution. We have other things to do than voluntarily help you for free.

Too vague. Use the overview page in Speccy.

What does task manager look like in the "Performance tab", when the PC is idle and running GTA?

Have you restarted your PC?

Please list what you have done. I know it says you have tried everything in the OP, but we need to know.

Also please give @DoJoMan18's post above a go.
