• Once again General Motors does a great job. Love the looks, although they are slowly starting to look more and more like the European Chevies, which are awful.

Man, I don't like all these futuristic cars. I like more boxy vehicles... I liked the 80s, 90s, and and the early early early 00s. I sure hope cars designs go back to the way they used to be. Ford ki

Chevrolet Impala? Thats one major facelift. At a first quick glance, looked like Camaro's sibling to me (talking about the front, not rear body).

Thoughts?

Anyways, too much of a stylish car for being a police vehicle.I'm not gonna suppose it'll be considered by law-enforcement agencies. Also,I haven't checked the link yet so I may be wrong but the other reason for non-consideration of this vehicle as an interceptor or cruiser may be because it looks expensive to me..

They are made in Korea, GM bought Daewoo and changed the name to Chevy, they are not good cars.

I'm generally not a GM fan, the Chevys are shit, and the Opels are also shit, they're getting better with the lastest lineup, the old Astra was horrible to drive, also bad seats.

Chevrolet does not only build ''copcars'' you know?

i think it would look really nice as a police car actually.

give it a little time and the design will grow on you.

give it a police package and it' look will transform into a police car.

and it will be an excellent new police car since those are new headlights which criminals wont be able to recognize.

also look at that trunk, my goodness it's huge, great for lots of equipment.

i think you guys are judging it to quickly.

and also when they go to car shows like these they usually show off they best model so expect some variations

The rear reminds me of Audi.

Not really my cup of tea though.

Or BMW.

Not a big fan, I'd still stick with Taurus if I had to.

It was much better when Vauxhall/Opel were still British owned...tbh I have a huge distaste for GM produced cars, its like the death of a production line once General Motors gets their hands on stuff...

Opel were bought by GM way back in the early days of motoring.

Yup, they bought Vauxhall in 1925....probably why Vauxhall and Opel (by then both being subsidary companies of GM) are only different in their badges...plus I believe the majority of Vauxhall designs are now done at the Opel HQ in Germany

ditto

And yes opels are shit, so I guess buicks and some chevys are also shit -sadly...-.

I have to say that first time I saw the design I was impressed, but I don't like that european car form that is taking, when I see it I don't see an impala...

Btw, this Impala looses the bench seat: http://blogs.cars.com/.a/6a00d83451b3c669e2016303bb6566970d-800wi

Roll on the day the governments start forcing the emergency services to use "eco-friendly" or electric vehicles....

Older vehicles uses to be more resistent than newers, now they have too much useless technology expensie to repair...

The more modern and stylish these vehicles get, the more it will cost to replace and repair them. I don't like it.

Then less departments will take it, suppossing there's a police version. I guess chey is betting on the Caprice for police use.

I really don't understand it, pretty sure we are all headed for an economy crash, but yet police forces can afford NEWER, FLASHIER vehicles, sorry but if i'm being stopped, the vehicle is not going to affect how i feel about getting ticketed, this is IF they decide to make them into police vehicle's, in order to maintain these vehicles, the cost of something would have to go up too still balance out budget cost's, ie OUR TAXES, not too mention, police equipment is not cheap you can't exactly tell them "oh, just throw that on the credit card", the lightbar alone is close to $4000.00 for a Whelen Liberty..

My cities department has 676 Police Officer's, that's just HRP not including RCMP too out fit an ENTIRE police force with newer more expensive vehicles, would be ridiculous and extremely pricey i would just tell them to keep there "police discount", also for 676 Police Officer's salaries at $80,000 a year is $54,080,000 a year just in salaries, how does the federal government afford new vehicle's if the government is complaining there is no money to give let alone afford brand new Police Vehicle's, plus i would imagine it would cost more to have a lightbar custom fit for a particular vehicle..

Sorry to go WAY off topic (kinda) but the government pisses me RIGHT OFF..

BTW, how did this 1976 impala go from this VVV toooo this ^^^^
