The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Set priority for LSPDFR

Hi all, we know there's lots of batch files out there to launch- and set GTAV priorities to high... but according to my logical thinking (which in comparison to some members here, isn't all too logical) this will only launch GTAV.

Since LSPDFR is launched through Ragehook, I can't figure out how to get this batch file to work with that.

Alright, I know how to change a name in a file to "RagePluginHook.exe, but if I'm correct this process will end as soon as GTAV.exe starts up.

Is there anyone who could guide me in the right direction as to how I could manipulate the batch file to only set GTAV.exe (through RagePluginHook) to "High" instead of just RagePluginHook.exe.

If there already is such file, I have not noticed it and would appreciate a heads up.

Thanks, Son

All plugins run under the gtav.exe process, even RPH plugins.

[REL] Coastal Callouts: An action-packed mod with new vehicles, maps, capabilities, and callouts in and around the waters of Los Santos

[REL] Police Tape: Make your scenes more realistic while stopping peds and traffic

[REL] Better EMS: Realistic and dynamic EMS response

Thanks for your reply, but I'm well aware of this.

What I was trying to convey is that every time I play GTA V or LSPDFR (which obviously runs alongside with GTAV) I have to set it's priority to High, because I get stuttering if I don't.

I want to automate that process, which I cannot do the conventional way, cause that would negate RagePluginHook at launch.

So in a nutshell : I would love to be able to make- or get a batch file which starts RagePluginHook (which in turn launches GTA V), and then sets GTA V priorities to high for me.

Thanks, Son

I found a fix for the 'setting GTA V to high priority' issue.

I went on the internet to search for any available and feasible option, and stumbled upon an app called "Process Hacker 2".

The title sounds very daunting, but it's really not hacking imo.

Through this app you can set priorities of multiple running processes, and here it is: Save the settings.

Just as long as the Process Hacker 2 service is running,  when you start GTA V or any other process you tinkered on, it will start with the saved priority settings.

The Process Hacker when running takes up about 10-11 mb of RAM, which is almost 25% of the RSC's UI alone... so not something you should have to be worried about.

I can tell you right off the bat, it works great, and I recommend it!

For anyone wanting to try it out, I have attached it right here, it's open source like Task Manager so I think I'll be fine doing this.

Enjoy!

I can't imagine this will actually do much though, unless you have a lot in the background also fighting for CPU time.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

My specs are i5 4460 @ 3.4 GHz

                          16 GB RAM

                          AMD R9 390 8 GB

GTAV/LSPDFR also runs off of a Samsung Evo 850 250GB.

I don't have too many background processes running, just Plays.tv, Razer Synapse, Logitech Profiler and Defender.

When I leave the priority set to normal, I get constant stuttering, so if you have any idea where that comes from... cause I don't.
