So, GTA IV recieved an update, going from 1.0.7.0 to 1.0.8.0. Script mods as far as I know are totally broken. Patch logs are to follow:

 

• Added error code "WTV270" to indicate a problem with connecting to Windows Live Sign in Assistant / Games for Windows Live Servers.
• Added Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 to compatible OS check.
• Added Display Controller image in Controller Configuration.
• Fixed a bug which made completing "Out of Commission" mission impossible when frame rate exceeds 60fps.
• Fixed a bug with the "Resource Usage" indicator on graphics cards with more than 2GB of VRAM.
• Fixed a bug that restricted settings changes when using modern video cards.
• Fixed a bug with the map crosshair on certain resolutions.
• Fixed a bug with text scrolling in "Brief" Menu.
• Fixed "drawlist overflow" crash.
• Minor performance optimizations.

Seriously though, I hope the Scripthook gets updated at least and the sort.

GTA 4 got a update....wut

 

It was kinda like a safe haven from rockstar updates. Now they broke everything, good luck getting plugin updates for a almost dead game.

I have been messing around with the performance aspect and so far it's proven true. Object Detail rendering and night shadows have definitely been tweaked to offer much more stability.  Can't wait to see an updated script-hook soon. 

I thought the chances of Donald Trump shaving off his hair are higher than GTA IV getting an update.

I'm actually impressed...

Why release an update 6 years after the last one? It makes no sense.

I am so hoping that scripthook gets updated, I would love to play LCPDFR in Multiplayer!!

It looks like they updated the Social Club login servers, making GTA IV need a patch if you want to play multiplayer. I guess they realize people still play it, so they released the patch and threw in some bug fixes.

Whats your problem guys? I still play GTA IV LCPDFR.  And i am happy about a update. Newbies can now play in the Multiplayer too.

Rockstart removed the Social club login requirement

The new update is better than anything in my opinion. RGSC  was broken for the longest except for those few lucky guys. Now they will be able to play as well, on top of the fact you don't need command lines to run the game with good graphics options.

 

I'd rather they give an old game love than abandon it totally broken.

I understand that and agree, but I think i'd rather have a GTA 4 with the bugs from 1.0.7.0 but with all the supported mods that were made for it instead of a more stable GTA 4 with no mods.

 

Fingers crossed Alexander Blade updates the script-hook so we can get the best of both worlds.

This statement was made with the idea that all the mods are forever broken. Alexander will update the scripthook, don't see why he wouldn't.

Sorry if I came across like that, I meant if I had to have one or the other.

 

Chances are he will update the scripthook, it's just been a hell of a long time since he's had to, so i don't know if he could be bothered.

 

He likes to do things his own way, even if people don't agree with him.

How do you download the patch for non steam version? It's not like GTA V that's for sure

I cant play GTA IV at all now. When I launch from Steam it gives me the Social club log in and when selecting play nothing happens :(
