You only have 1 core?

Does your computer even run the game on low settings? You also need more RAM, so you should get a more powerful PC. I don't think you can upgrade laptops, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

@Originallight, sadly, you cannot upgrade laptop's, i think you can with the WAY more high end ones like Alienware, other then that, i don't think so, i had the same problem when i first bought the game, had to uninstall it and let the game collect dust for a year before i could get a more powerful computer

ye... I bought 4gb of ram and orginally i had 1.5gb.. my dad thinks it has a 3gb max thing or somthing.. but Im going to be saving up to buy a new one.. its my ram and my cpu.. :(

Also, make sure the next one you get is a desktop, not a laptop. More performace for the price, and you can save even more money if it's custom built.

I also suggest you take a look at this topic for help:

I put the 3gb on my desktop.. and I have a laptop and a desktop so yea.. xD and apparently my dad knows a guy on ebay that sells 3yr old computers for a good price so after a pay check or two of my job I can get one..

I just bought 4gb of ram and only 3gb is being used for some reason..

Operating system: WindowsXP Professional (5.1.3.0 Build: 2600) Service Pack:Service Pack 3

System RAM (GB): 3

Only 64-bit versions of Windows can utilize more than 3GB of installed RAM. Your report indicates that your laptop is running Windows XP SP3, and I presume that it's not the 64-bit version of Windows XP either. Hence, you will only be able to use 3GB out of the 4GB that you have. The only way to get around this restriction is to use a 64-bit OS, unfortunately, as only 64-bit OS's and programs specifically written for 64-bit operating environments can utilize more than 3GB of RAM.

Hope this answers your question about the "3GB RAM limit."

But yes, like the others have said, you need a way more powerful computer to even play GTA IV, let alone run mods on it. I suggest upgrading to a desktop, not a laptop, as you can easily upgrade and troubleshoot desktops, but not so much for laptops. Sure, desktops are pretty much immobile, but if you're going to do some serious gaming (and modding), then you'll need a desktop to handle that. Plus, desktops are cheaper than laptops with similar specs, so it's also more worth it to invest in a desktop.

Why are people so self-conscious about needing others to press the green arrow? **THE SPECS ARE FOR A WINDOWS XP DESKTOP **

And I knew as soon as my dad said it probally has a 3gb max on it because hes a IT Director and stuff.. also I know desktops are cheaper and the people that sold me the laptop said that it woud be capable of running WoW and well.. it can even run gta iv without giving me 1 fps... desktop runs at 11fps and I can run the desktop with med settings but when i start lcpdfr it crashes. I can run the .91 version for a little while.. just got my working permitt and need to hand in my application for a job and them Im raising money to get a gaming desktop..

11FPS? That must be unbearable.

My friend plays SA on the same framerate.

And the game world keeps flashing.

Personally, it'd piss me off. But he deals with it, no idea how.

God, I remember when I first bought GTA IV, 4 car mods and I had just 15FPS. The game proceeded to sit in my drawer for a while till I built a new computer which I then got 50FPS from with about 20 car mods installed as well as LCPDFR.

Basically you just want to hide the text, here is a example.

Here is a example

To do this, put
