I'm pretty sure the Caprice is longer than the Commodore, so I don't believe they do. I could be completely wrong though.

Might be different frames but they share the Zeta platform.

The Sedan is the only decent looking automobile here.

I agree. The Taurus looks virtually the same as the 2013 model, which is nice because the rest of them are hideous. Especially that Expedition with those rims. What the fuck is that meant to be, Pimp

It's sad that Ford lost their hold on the emergency vehicle market. Once they discontinued the CVPI, they didn't really have anything to replace it with, which was a huge mistake. That allowed Dodge a

Most european police cars are civilian cars you can find everywhere, with a radio slammed in and a lightbar on the roof, and they seem to do their job just fine, why do we have to make things big all the time? :(

Well for example in Russia there are lots of old Soviet piles of rust "with a radio and a lightbar", underperforming 20 years ago and today. They do their job just fine because we don't do much pursuits here (and even when we do you won't go too fast if you have no roads, eh?).

Those who misbehave end up here, he-he. Optimized for two, but seats up to five. Makes the ride especially enjoyable.

As far as I see, in the States you have wast distances with great highways, a lot of guns and crazy people who shoot cops for anything and for nothing, Plus Americans love big beautiful cars, right?

I have one too, I love it too, but it is a heavy old hunk of metal with a drinking problem. These were great cars for police use, just not anymore, they've reached retirement age, and have now happily settled in the retirement home of civilian owners.

You can't talk about longevity when a car has only been out 3 years. A lot of new cars have problems in the first few years, that get fixed at a later point, you should know that if you work at a car dealership. I'm also not saying that Chevy's are a bad car, I love Tahoe's, they're in my opinion one of the best emergency vehicles out there, now that there is a 4x4 PPV. Gives you a lot of room, a lot of power, is comfortable, and pursuit rated, but expensive.

The new sedans are quite tight, but the Explorers aren't, they're virtually the same as the CVPI, a little less room on the sides, but more headroom and a higher seating position. And that last statement sounds like you just pulled it out of your ass, I mean seriously?

Yeah no I didn't pull it out of my ass buddy, the officer was with a local department in NJ and had been on the force for 10+ years.
Also the Fords are built cheaply.  The Expedition has a very small actual bumper, and the metal looked like it was cast metal.  The Explorers have to have the spare tire in them to be able to have their rear crash rating.  The Expedition with the extended wheelbase is around $31k, a FPIU is around $28-29k, and the FPI is around 26-27k.
A 4WD Tahoe PPV is around 38k and the SSV is about $39k.  At nearly $10k less you can get a full size SUV and there's a reason for that.  They're cheap and don't have the durability of other vehicles.  When my Dad retired from the force he went to a Ford dealership as a fleet manager.  I got to be in Expeditions, Crown Vics, and even Excursions.  They were decent vehicles, but even he knew that the Chevys were gonna beat them in terms of quality which is why he was able to win a lot of bids because the Fords were cheaper.
Also the FPIs and FPIUs have been out nearly 5 years now.  The Chargers are even worse and are known to go after around a year and a half.
When a PD is looking at a bid for a SUV and they aren't specifically requesting Tahoes the FPIU is probably going to win because they're cheaper.
Also the FPI/FPIU have really light pedals which is horrid.
