  1. Love the old school FastTrax! Great job, would love to see a front version too for some early 2000 era cars I have in mind!
  2. Yeah no I didn't pull it out of my ass buddy, the officer was with a local department in NJ and had been on the force for 10+ years. Also the Fords are built cheaply. The Expedition has a very small actual bumper, and the metal looked like it was cast metal. The Explorers have to have the spare tire in them to be able to have their rear crash rating. The Expedition with the extended wheelbase is around $31k, a FPIU is around $28-29k, and the FPI is around 26-27k. A 4WD Tahoe PPV is around 38k and the SSV is about $39k. At nearly $10k less you can get a full size SUV and there's a reason for that. They're cheap and don't have the durability of other vehicles. When my Dad retired from the force he went to a Ford dealership as a fleet manager. I got to be in Expeditions, Crown Vics, and even Excursions. They were decent vehicles, but even he knew that the Chevys were gonna beat them in terms of quality which is why he was able to win a lot of bids because the Fords were cheaper. Also the FPIs and FPIUs have been out nearly 5 years now. The Chargers are even worse and are known to go after around a year and a half. When a PD is looking at a bid for a SUV and they aren't specifically requesting Tahoes the FPIU is probably going to win because they're cheaper. Also the FPI/FPIU have really light pedals which is horrid.
  3. Might be different frames but they share the Zeta platform.
  4. I love the CVPIs, I have one myself and I expect to keep it for a long time. They were designed to last and are cheap to repair. I'm an emergency vehicle upfitter and work for a Chevrolet dealer in the fleet department. I've asked quite a lot of guys from departments with Explorers and these are the most common things I hear "They're really tight and small" "We've had longevity issues, rear diffs have gone after only 20k miles" "This is the only car I've ever felt I need to wear my seatbelt in, I don't feel safe in it at all" I may work for GM/Chevy but I cannot deny how great the CVPIs were as a police car. Even then a lot of guys said they preferred the old school Caprice over the original CVPIs.
  5. ^ Correct. The Caprice PPV came to the US in 2011. Its offered with a 3.6L V6 or you can upgrade to the 6.0L V8 L77 free of charge. Also has Ford fixed the issue with their FPIs and FPIUs requiring the rear spare tire to have their crash rating yet? The only reason Fords sell well is because they're cheap, and there's a reason they're cheap.
  6. Also another EVU, Havis also makes rocker switches too. Would you try setting up the 4200 with the bluetooth module?
  7. I do realize that it does need a lot of changes, and especially since I work at a Chevy dealer and deal with Caprice and Tahoe PPVs often I notice a lot more subtle touches than others do.
  8. So a couple months back I bought a Holden Caprice model with plans to convert it into a Chevy Caprice PPV for GTA IV. I didn't get too far and I'd like some help with converting it to GTA V now. I've watched a few videos on converting models, but this model doesn't really have much with it other than the textures and of course the model. This is the model I had purchased.
  9. IIRC they use Whelen SA6 sirens or some sort of Whelen siren.
  10. I was more talking about from a modeling point of view, if I wanted only rear lights on at Stage 1 I'd have to connect them to Extra 7 and 9, rather than have them as Extras 1,2,3,&4.
  11. How will the 3 stages of lighting work? Say I want just rear lighting to be on Level 1, would that be possible without them being programmed into the arrowstick/secondary lights?
  12. Will there be support to create dualcolor or tricolored lights such as the Whelen Trio/Duo series and other similar products?
  13. One issue is that that pushbar needs to be resized. If you need any pics of Setina pushbars on the new Tahoes I've got plenty of them and I can take pics of them from any angles you need.

2015 Tahoe PPV Slicktop with LCPD and LCSO textures, somewhat based upon a similarly setup 2015 Tahoe being upfitted at my work. Handling line included along with ELS config. You may not redistribute this elsewhere, nor attempt to unlock it.
  14. Yes I do! For some reason the license plate I included in the texture did not show up on the vehicle itself despite being in the correct spot for the plate. The template is included in the download so if you want to try to include it that's fine.
  15. New version just got uploaded with the red lights on the back and wig-wags as well.
  16. I was at first contemplating a pushbar, but it blocked some of the ions in the grille. I also have yet to experiment with wig-wags, so that could possibly come in a future update since the vehicle this was based off of had Code 3 Citadel lights which on that truck were the amber directionals and then I believe red and possibly white too so I might map those too.
  17. Thank you! I should be making some more that are different since I'll hopefully be working for the fleet section of a Chevy dealership soon.

2015 Tahoe SSV unmarked based upon one like it for Pensauken Twp's Fire chief, rear Whelen Raiders on trunk function as directionals. ELS config file included. Will possibly also map rear Whelen Raiders to serve as primary lights as well.
  18. They're yearly, not open to the public I believe though, you have to be a LEO or from the fleet section of a dealership or emergency vehicle upfitter.
  19. Took a trip down to the AC Police Expo with my Dad, sadly I didn't take many pics but here is a picture of a new Philly PD Tahoe. It has this interesting lightbar in the grille with Whelen Vs and Ions but its like $2,000 and the plastic was super cheap and rough.
  20. My dummies are all scaled to .04, my extra_9 is .04 then my extra9 is .02 I moved my dummies up they were at the front so that could possibly be it and I just moved them a bit more, gonna go test and see if that was the problem.
  21. Well that appears to be the first thing everyone wants to see, I don't really know what other info I can provide you with that's relevant. I'm using Whelen Raiders with the ELS lights mapped to extra 7,8, and 9.
