Got some Compton stuff! Also got the Sheriff cars spawning in Compton, instead of Police cars, and without any script. Just edited some original gta files.

Some news about next update :

I guess it's will be new freeway signs, so all signs in the LA and other cities like Santa Monica will be finished. (Freeway Signs in Santa Monica finished already(i mean around Santa Monica City, not freeway).

And probably :

  • US Bank Tower (60 % done)
  • California Plaza (50% done)
  • Hollywood Wax Museum (40 % done)
  • AMC Theater in Santa Monica (60 % done)
  • Echo Park Sign and Echo (90%)
  • Echo Park Boat House (default is the same as real life, but with annoying warning signs, half broken roof and too dirty)(90% done)

But i'm not sure if all this things will be released in update.

Wow Desmond, this is a really fantastic mod! I love the depth with the modelling of the buildings as well, that's really great.

One thing I would love to see in this mod is replacing the suburb names in GTA with the real life counterparts that inspired each area. For example, Pillbox Hill is the suburb containing most of the skyscrapers in GTA. It's inspired by the LA suburb Bunker Hill, so it'd be great for the in-game map to reflect this change. I believe by changing the suburb names in GTA this will also change the suburbs that show up when using the Player Location Display mod. The GTA wikia has pretty comprehensive information on the suburbs in-game as well as their real life inspirations.

Another idea would be to do the same thing with the street names in game, although this would be even more involved and maybe even require the help of people who live in LA. Same as the suburbs, GTA wikia has some information on the streets of GTA and their real life inspirations.

Looking forward to seeing the future of this mod!

Thanks! I'm not sure what you mean by suburb, but probably you mean the location names in the lower right corner, there's already mod for that https://gta5-mods.com/misc/real-location-names, it's compatible with my mod, but about player location display - it's not use original gta files to show the names, it's use own lines, which one hardcoded. Probably it's can be edited only by author of the PLD mod, but i'm not sure, as i don't have experience with scripts developing.

Suburbs are little town near big towns. For example Compton is a suburb of Los Angeles.

Some good news about Police Stations. Now we finally able to can change the rooftop flags, we can found it with that awesome tool. For example change the LAPD one at Santa Monica Pier to US flag, and LASD flag at Beverly Hills Police Station and many other examples

In the original game Call Box was only for "Los Santos", if it even was actually located in county.
Now it's proper Los Angeles County Call Box.
alt text
And if in the game was only one Call Box, i think it's not enought and i'm added(yes, added, not replaced) Call Box for Riverside County
alt text
I will add separate things for different counties.

Also i added some 710 Intestate Shields, information about it will be posted later.

I'm parallel working on Mobil Gas Station
Can someone find the similar gas station in LA
in gta it's located almost in South LA, it's №3 at ReNNie map

Just now, Alex Choy said:

I believe this is the gas station you are looking for, its located in South Central LA. You should consider doing a Chevron station too though, as they are way more common in LA than mobils

oh, thanks for information! And yes i'm planning Chevron too, for example in Santa Monica.
