Hi all, I am hoping to convert one of my Modded GTAV-LSPDFR folders to make it as realistic as I can possibly get to real life and want to replace all the GTAV cars,Vans Buses,Planes,Heli's Ext Ext and thought it would be a good idea to ask a few of the members on here whether they have done that and whether they was successful or whether you need to do certain things or add certain modds to help the process. I would be very grateful and would appreciate it if I could get  some help and advice on the best way of going about it and if I need to do certain things to make the process go as smooth as possible.  So far I have found 20 cars that work perfectly and are a strait swap with no messing around with Meta files or handling files with GTAV vehicle's but I have read that once you start adding loads of modded cars you will get at one point nothing but certain cars spawning so as well as help and advice on swapping cars over would there be a traffic variety mod that will help with that issue. I have seen a few about but most of them haven't been updated in a while and so I thought it best to ask around to see if they are still worth using or if there are new up to date versions available. Well I will be very interested to see if I get any replies on my mission to convert GTAV to a realistic version and hopefully it can be done and that I only need to add a few things to get my copy completely converted to look as real to true life as I can possibly get. I know I won't be able to get it perfect and replace everything without some issues but if I can at least get it 70-80% I will be a happy man. You cannot physically replace ALL of the vehicles.. Your game will crash, because modded vehicles are larger sizes than the originals, so GTA V will get overwhelmed and notice something is up. I replaced about 4 cars with realistic ones, they were huge files, had to remove them as I noticed a huge performance drop. Dropped about 10-15 fps. I recommend keeping default cars, and just replace Ambulance/FireTruck/Police cars and a couple cars, at most.

Many thanks for your reply. I have added 20 cars so far with no issues to date but you are saying there is a cap on the amount you can add so there is no way of doing what I wanted to attempt? I will take on board your advice and might just have to stick to what I have loaded so far. It's a real shame that you can't do what I would of liked as it would of been great if I could of got a version with every vehicle being of a true make but at least I have a the ones I have added so far so at least that's better than none at all. Thanks again.

If you were to replace "ALL" the vehicles then you will notice extreme performance decrease and in some cases, common cases, your game will crash after adding so many extra mb/gb of cars.

Yea I understand that bud, Thanks for the heads up. And do you know of any decent Traffic Variety Mods that are worth using at the moment? I have been tempted to use the one listed on here but it hasn't been updated in a while so I wasn't to sure if it would work with the latest LSPDFR.

The only way to know is by trying it out :) worst it could do is crash your game.

LOL yea that's true, I do try to only use modded cars that are done by the best car modders and the ones where they are strait swaps with no messing around with adding lines to files and stuff like that and I am also adding normal cars and not boosted up over done super cars. I'm going for realistic day to day cars that the every day man would use. It wouldn't be realistic if I had tones of lamborghini and Ferrari's going down the road lol But now you mention about the file size I will take that in to account as well so hopefully that will help me with what I have already.

my spreadsheet with optimized models (all models do not overload the system more than the original, because doesnt have more than 100 000 polygons)

Ah Desmond98 you are a complete Gentleman man and I thank you for being kind enough to leave the spread sheet full of cars for me to look at and add. Wow I am blown away mate as this is perfect for what I needed and I couldn't of asked for more so if you ever need me to return the favour don't hesitate to PM me asap bud as I defo owe you a few for that!!!!! :) I can't thank you enough man and that must of taken quite a bit of time to get that list together with all the testing and checking you would of needed to do to get a list up and running like that. I think that's a little more than help LOL That's saved me hours and hours of work. You Beauty Desmond you Beauty!!!! LOL Top man mate!!!! There's some sweet cars there and a nice mix that would look sweet around Hollywood and LA and defo the realistic look I am after.

I'm quite new to this forum here and I had to make the experience, that replacing all cars might be a wonderful idea, but works out to be a complete fail....
I worked a week on downloading cars, creating Exceltables to find just the right car for the right model, I replaced almost every car and then my game crashed badly....that badly that my PC wont even respond to anything (only solution: power off).

 

But if someone is interested on my excel work with all the models just pm me so the work isnt completly for nothing xD xD xD

I also still have the downloaded cars so I can tell you where to download them (if you just want to replace a few) [most are tested]
