What exactly  don't we have then? Largely disagree with you; as @Hystery said this is an isolated incident in one of Europe's countries. To conclude from this incident the police in Europe can't

  • No, he definitely is not justifying anything, just providing background information on the video you are seeing. Like he said, you have no idea outside of that video of what is going on. How do y

But dudes, police brutality in the USA is way more likely.

From the stories I have heard I would say the opposite but brutality is somewhat a personal opinion. I don't consider what the polizei do "brutality" in most cases but I know a lot of people who think it is. Not to mention that those prank videos are fake just like 99% of all prank videos on Youtube.

Guess all my points can be covered by it. Nothing to argue about then

In that case I do hope you're ready for the world where what you do is what the government tells you to do. Or maybe it will work better in Europe. Maybe not. I just hope I'll die before my world dies :)

You know Hastings, I wish we lived in a world where people would use reason and logic when having discussions.

Thanks for your input. I believe me and Hystery understood each other. At least I certainly understood his reasons and have nothing to discuss further.

This is why in Europe we don't want to have a career in law enforcement. Because we can't do shit to protect ourselves and others. Same goes in Italy too. We don't have half of the tools american police has. It's depressing really.

This happened in France during a protest for work wages or something similar I believe, and black block were there.
Watch your six and of your fellow officers.

really not smart using a single incident as a point to say european police doesn't have it as good as the US one

A month late for a discussion, but the US police had their share of burned-by-peaceful-citizens-oppresed-by-racisit-police-and-peacefully-defending-their-rights cars. Come to think of it, many countries had similar issues... Apart from Russia :P If you even touch a cop during a political protest, you'll geta 2-5 years inside. Burn a car? Never happened.

Apparently approaching the police line and shouting in law enforcement officers faces is considered "peaceful". Then when they push people out of their face after shouting "move back" like 30 times, throwing things at them seems to be the smartest decision to make. Hell, while they're at it, maybe go ahead and flip a police car or two to get the point across. Maybe just pick up that rock and toss it into the 7/11, that's where that cashier I hate works right? It's a joke, most of the protests are not peaceful.

Well I am living in the capital of Germany and we have approx. 1000 protests a year, shockingly, the police does not respond to most of them, but yeah, most protests are not peaceful....

I work for the Berlin Police.

Most protest are indeed peaceful.

Most protests are - at varying levels - supervised by the police. You don't need the police - in force - to supervise a protest of 20 hippies, for example.

And the number of protest in Berlin is about 5000 a year. Small an big ones, number rising.

yeah, same here, i wasn't sure of the number though...

Speaking about European police, here's a nice video showcasing brand new Russian police tactics against melee armed suspects.

Only kidding. What a F-n lame...
