x64e Issues (Police, Police4)

Featured Replies

Hi officers!

I've been playing LSPDFR for awhile now, but am new to the forums.  After lots of reading/troubleshooting my game I have come to the conclusion that the x64e directory does not seem to be the right area to replace my car models for police and police4 slots, as when I do this, many car names become corrupted when read out by mods like passive radar, police radio and callout packs that give vehicle descriptions.  I have reinstalled my game, and replaced files one at a time and I can prove that it's only in x64e's directory because I exclusively replaced the sheriff slots in patchday3ng, aswell as add sheriffbuf, and the game runs just fine.  I used that same model originally intended to replace the police slot (Lundy's wonderful 1st gen Stanier) in x64e>levels>gta5>vehicles and I then get the corrupted names.  Just so we're clear, I have not changed anything else in my game while doing this, and the issue I'm having is only mentioned on the forums in one topic I could find, and there wasn't a solution.  (read before I signed up so I started a new topic since I can't find it now, so sorry for oversaturating the forum) An example of this issue is when I perform a plate check on certain vehicles, and instead of SULTAN or FELON2 I get names like 0x123456789 which is extremely frustrating when I am looking for a specific suspect's vehicle and all I have to go off of is a colour and a plate number.  Any help would be much appreciated and again I apologize if there is already a topic on this!!

Niko.

Always just put replacement cars in the most recent patchday folder to ensure they overwrite the original files correctly.

Alright, thanks! I'll give it a go.

My apologies, I wasn't sure if this would be considered an issue with GTA alone, or LSPDFR; I know it wasn't an issue with the First Response mod, but since it involved mods that relate to it I thought I was posting in the right section.  I'll post more accordingly in the future.

Okay, so the latest patchday folder is 9ng.  No police or sheriff files reside there, am I just to place them in that directory anyway?
