I want to start by saying, excellent mod! I find myself using this very often during my patrols. Stealth22, thank you for your hard work. As for the performance limitations this mod enlarges (microstuttering, etc.) I have a temporary fix for anyone with performance issues caused by the mod making the game unplayable. 1. PNWParksFan has released an excellent mod to clean up after GTA V's memory leak issues, leftover blips, and other code clutter caused by an LSPDFR crash. Download that ish!! 2. Using CleanAllTheThings, commands like "ClearTasks", CleanWorld, etc, you will free up unused memory wherever possible to improve performance. I reccomend doing this as a general habit between callouts, and after pursuits and ambient events. 3. For those with limited specs, disable KeepCalm at startup, and launch it when you need it, like during traffic stops and when a suspect bails on foot during a pursuit. Once you aren't in a situation where you can be mowed by a civillian/having to stop officers from shooting everyone, simply unload the plugin again. If your pc can handle KeepCalm in the background with only few instances of micro stuttering, this can often be fixed by following my first 2 points. Note, I said OFTEN, not always! ;) Stealth22, again, despite my hardware limitations, fantastic job, I eagerly anticipate a more ram-efficient version of this mod, and I understand that this is no easy task, so hopefully my findings help the community until someone finds a better solution. For me, LSPDFR is unplayable without this mod, so as long as I can make the game playable with it running, I'm a happy camper, and I don't see why anyone else should not feel the same! :)
  1. I only realized after posting that it probably wasn't smart to do that. Won't happen again!
  2. Lets add "Help, I replaced cars and now police radio and other mods are not reading car names properly (0x123456789) This is caused from not updating the most recent patchday folder as I've figured out thanks to the help of the community and me reinstalling stuff over and over. Don't think its been said before, just trying to help! :)
  3. Just read this. Pretty sure I have it figured out. Very helpful thanks guys!

  5. Alright, thanks! I'll give it a go. My apologies, I wasn't sure if this would be considered an issue with GTA alone, or LSPDFR; I know it wasn't an issue with the First Response mod, but since it involved mods that relate to it I thought I was posting in the right section. I'll post more accordingly in the future. Okay, so the latest patchday folder is 9ng. No police or sheriff files reside there, am I just to place them in that directory anyway?

  7. My question, to be clear, is which directory I'm supposed to replace police and police4 to avoid the issue I'm having.
  8. Hi officers! I've been playing LSPDFR for awhile now, but am new to the forums. After lots of reading/troubleshooting my game I have come to the conclusion that the x64e directory does not seem to be the right area to replace my car models for police and police4 slots, as when I do this, many car names become corrupted when read out by mods like passive radar, police radio and callout packs that give vehicle descriptions. I have reinstalled my game, and replaced files one at a time and I can prove that it's only in x64e's directory because I exclusively replaced the sheriff slots in patchday3ng, aswell as add sheriffbuf, and the game runs just fine. I used that same model originally intended to replace the police slot (Lundy's wonderful 1st gen Stanier) in x64e>levels>gta5>vehicles and I then get the corrupted names. Just so we're clear, I have not changed anything else in my game while doing this, and the issue I'm having is only mentioned on the forums in one topic I could find, and there wasn't a solution. (read before I signed up so I started a new topic since I can't find it now, so sorry for oversaturating the forum) An example of this issue is when I perform a plate check on certain vehicles, and instead of SULTAN or FELON2 I get names like 0x123456789 which is extremely frustrating when I am looking for a specific suspect's vehicle and all I have to go off of is a colour and a plate number. Any help would be much appreciated and again I apologize if there is already a topic on this!! Niko.
