The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Any chance of stopping updates from Rockstar

I'm sorry but this is now becoming a support thread rather than a suggestion, search forums but everyone say you cannot play offline? do you have the link to the topic?

I posted how to do this for the retail (non-Steam) version. As far as I'm aware, the Steam version is even easier to do it with because it doesn't use Rockstar's auto-update mechanism.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

  1. if that's the pinned article, just did that, didn't work, the commandline text made no difference... it updated then I put my original V and launcher in main game folder... all it wanted to do is update again... I'm using the non steam dvd version..

Your best option, use a 'mods' folder, and use RPHs 'Back-Up' feature within RPHs settings, saves a lot of headache for future reference.

Example: I use a 'mods' folder for all my mods, cars, sounds, skins etc. So when the Game is updated, my mods folder is left untouched because the root GTA V install files don't contain a 'mods' folder.

Using RagePluginHooks 'Back-Up' feature, I can revert to the last known working patch and play normal. Once the RPG and other scripts are updated, I'll go back into RPH settings and switch to the latest patch.

done that but as like a lot of other comments on the rage forums, the backup doesn't always work, found that as I'm running a Disc version and not steam, I just unplug my router and it then loads in offline mode, so I have best of both worlds, I can update when Rage and everyone else has caught up... thanks for the time in replying. Admin can close this now thank you.
