Awesome work from these officers but my question is what did the one use to break the window?

 

 

An ASP baton.

Looks like he used his retractable baton.

Also that thumbnail looks like the start of some hip hop music video.

@dingo2031 Not sure what you mean about "rapidly tap glass" but you can very much do that with an ASP, and if you slow the video down you can see him get ready to swing at the window and you can see how it is an ASP.

You can modify the end of the ASP baton to suit your need, He most likely had this to break the glass and just used the ASP itself to shatter it. 

Or seeing as she was completely out of her mind, He most likely just tapped on the glass to try and get her attentions (which failed) and he shattered the glass using his baton to stop the vehicle before it crashed.

Likely it was just the stock baton itself. I've seen a video of some Aussie cops smashing out the window of a car using them.

The stock baton has a tip built into it which is specifically meant for breaking car windows. It's painted the same color as the rest of the baton so it's not noticeable. Some police flashlights have this as well, and you can also buy a window breaking tool that fits in your pocket. I have one that doubles as a seat belt cutter.
