olddutch7 got a reaction from DakotaM990 in Horrible Framerate when on-dutyI lowered my setting considerably and yes, it still lags. Before the update that made it go down hill, I would run the game on max settings with no problems at all.

olddutch7 got a reaction from DakotaM990 in Horrible Framerate when on-dutyEver since two updates ago mine has been doing the same thing. It ran perfect before the update, and now when I start lspdfr, its lags every now and then. If I run just the game it works perfect, even with all the car mods. I tried everything you did, like running just vanilla lspdfr and it still lags, showing its not one of the plugins or callouts. I have yet to find a fix so if you do please share because lots of people have this issue.
All the best,

olddutch7 got a reaction from Findus in Horrible Framerate when on-dutySorry didn't mean to hi-jack the post. I just wanted to mention that DCP was not alone.

olddutch7 got a reaction from starcraftguy1 in 1 firefighter dead, another injured in shootingThat's very sad :(

I would like to use immersive way to do this, but it seems here's no such option.
But thanks anyway :)

olddutch7 reacted to Darkmyre in Can you replace any police vehicle with any DLC Car or is it specific cars only ?It is possible, however you'll most likely need to change the handling files for the other slots. If the car you downloaded was for say, police3, and it has a handling.meta file (or lines to add/replace your handling file), you'd need to replace them for police &/or police2.

olddutch7 got a reaction from Hullian111 in How Would You Explain the BSCO Not Being In GTA VWhen I had my game setup to be in "Los Santos" I had the vehicles added, and replaced the peds with BCSO uniforms. But that was a long time ago.... Right now my game is set up to be like Manitoba! Which is a Province in Canada.I made custom skins for all the following cities:
Los Santos = Winnipeg Police
Sandy Shores = Brandon Police
Paleto Bay = Morden Police
Rural = Royal Canadian Mounted Police
I've kinda wanted to go back to the generic location of the game...
-
The BSCO are about as mysterious as freaking unicorns. And I know, Rockstar may have been too lazy to add them, or they didn't have enough time, but what about your reasoning? Do they even exist? Did you replace them? Post your reasons why, if you do have some.
I, for one, have worked out my reasoning - for my GTA V game set in 1995, the BCSO were almost fully dissolved after the LSCS took over patrol operations - the only remnant of the force being their yet-to-be replaced 1992 Caprice 9C1s, and even then, Los Santos officers are the ones who drive them.
I know, many of you may not have a reason, but it'd be interesting to know. Even if it's on the fly, or you don't even care about the BCSO.

olddutch7 reacted to PNWParksFan in [REL] Coastal Callouts Discussion ThreadI've just begun working on my first callouts pack: Coastal Callouts. Currently there isn't much going on at sea in LSPDFR, and I'm working to change that. This will be a callouts series focusing on marine patrols and incidents. I'm planning to eventually have enough to make a boat-based marine patrol fun and interesting, but the callouts will also be designed so that a land-based unit could respond to a dock, grab a boat (or maybe a helicopter or something else), and then head to the scene.
Callouts will include law enforcement and SAR missions, both in the ocean and on beaches, in ports, and around the terminal and docks.
For all you modders out there, if anybody's interested in collaborating, shoot me a PM. I have some ideas already for specific sub-functionality which could be tackled by individual contributors and would make development move much quicker.
If you have suggestions, please let me know! Again, this is very early in the process, I'm still scoping out good locations for callouts and brainstorming what to put in them. So, it's a good time to make your ideas heard!
UPDATE DEC 2019: COASTAL CALLOUTS IS NOW RELEASED!
And, check out these first two Coastal Callouts episodes by @Darkmyre and @Albo1125

olddutch7 reacted to GravelRoadCop in To Obey and SurviveI made this a while ago, but haven't had the chance to submit it for the monthly Community Staff favorites before it closed down, so I figured I'll just submit it here to get it out of the way :P

olddutch7 reacted to AlconH in Can I get quick assistance on game/lspdfr crashThat's more of a final resort, let's try and avoid that if possible. Once all other options are exhausted, then that becomes a reasonable choice....
What is this, YouTube?! "LIKE IF YOU'RE READING THIS THREAD IN 2016!!111!!"
Okay, so are you using a mods folder? Did this start occurring after or before the recent update?

olddutch7 reacted to Starmix in Skins won't load. Also, you need OpenIV.asi (get it from the OpenIV application, not website) and to use a mods folder.

olddutch7 reacted to Cyan in Is LSPDFR Safe? It's up to you whether to use LSPDFR. I can confirm that we don't put any malware into any of our modifications, but if you are concerned that we may not be being truthful, or are suspicious, you can continue to use Police Mod 2.0.

olddutch7 reacted to Hystery in AI Drivers are ruining the experienceIt's nothing new that AI in GTA games are not the smartest. But it's not just as easy as saying "I'm going to make a mod like that". The AI is hard-coded into the game, you can't really change that. Everyone gets frustrated by how the AI drivers react, but that's just how it is. You just have to play along.
