It works fine, there is no issue with clipping, you just can't get how Multiplayer peds works, even without EUP you'll get clipping skin if you selected an incompatible upper skin with your top, I can

I think modding is too much for you, you should go back to GTA online.

  • I've noticed that the same types of questions are coming up and that the FAQ is in need of an update. So I decided to do just that. @Alex_Ashfold if you could put this on the main post that'd be aweso

When installing using OpenIV: I get "The installation failed. Something happened." Any help?

have just simply retry? sometimes the install fail for no reasons with OIV packages , you just need to give a retry. Try that if it failed again. Let us know.

I've tried everything posted her to get it to recognize that I have the Emergency Uniform Pack installed but it won't recognize it.

I spent about 3 hours this morning trying to get this to work. I've reinstalled using the installer 3 times as well as trying it manually (it appears that the installer is not moving the dlc folder any of the times I tried - it also doesn't move the EUP banner file either

I've included screenshots of my dlclist.rpf, plugins folder, OpenIV shots to show the file paths, and a screenshot of what I get in the game every single time.

Is there something missing from my install?

Do you not have the Update Folder sitting in your mods folder? Have you tried to copy and paste the Update Folder into your mods folder yourself?

Or I am way off on the issue here in which case I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will step in.

I don't use a mods folder... no matter what I tried to do the mods would not show up unless I ran the game from Open IV, which meant bypassing RPH, which meant no LSPDFR. I install directly to the game directory (it's an option with the EUP installer.)

I don't play multiplayer so it doesn't bother me to have the mods on my game files. If something breaks I just delete the file and verify again to download it.

Just to be clear, the game launcher doesn't try to redownload the modified files, right? In my experience, when I don't use a mods folder the launcher verifies and redownloads modified files, effectively reverting to a vanilla game.

Hey guys, I've read the FAQ but didn't see this issue addressed.  After dying, my character goes away and I spawn at a hospital as Franklin.  Then I have to recreate my character if I want to keep going (also, in the dying sequence where it says 'Wasted', you can clearly see the character is Franklin and not my custom character).

Is this normal or is something wrong with my install?  Thanks for any help! :)

As far as I know it is a protection mechanism in one of your other mods. It is there to prevent the game from crashing when respawning at the hospital. Just reload your character from SkinControl and you should be fine.

I don't think so. I have had vehicle mods in the past that stayed when using the game directory (the Penske truck, etc.) And when I run the game and go back to dig around in Open IV again the modified files are still there.

Yes, i have tired multiple times. Deleted everything and tried installing it first, before any lspdfr mods but still didnt work.

It's annyoing that OpenIV does not specify the error just says "something went wrong" :/

You're asking for trouble modding GTAV files outside of a mods folder, unless you have originals backed up somewhere.. There is a reason why people use a mods folder. Your choice though.. Deleting and verifying files might not work for you one day.. Again, that is your choice..

Next version will have package installer log and more detailed error messages.

Hi. Like others here I'm having some trouble with the Package Installer. When clicking to install the package, it holds for about 5 seconds, then throws the error "Out of Memory" - which is odd, since I have 20GB of RAM and OpenIV never tries to use more than 400 MB.

I've retried many times now, each have the same results. For reference, I'm trying to install to the mods folder, not the game files! Hopefully this information is useful, let me know if you need anything else.

Hope someone can help!

As I said if I use mods folder nothing shows up when using RPH. Unless I launch from OpenIV it doesn't load the mods.

Well I finally got OpenIV and RPH to work together somehow. This mod works when installed in mods folder but not when installed to games folders.

I get this error every time I try to download the pack on Open IV:

Time: "11:02:05"
Type: "EOutOfMemory"
Message: "Out of memory"
